Bullshit. What is evil and not has nothing to do with opinion and everything with correct upbringing (mostly by following society's standards).that is your opinion and i respect it
i want Vergil to look like this
as for Vergil being evil... , he is not Evil , at least not in the DMC world !!
you see in our world it is Evil to kill even one human and we all agree with that , but our world is not the same as DMC
we don't have demon in our world killing tons of humans in a blink of an eye , in our world killing is Evil but in DMC .... in DMC world you have to see the bigger picture , killing humans in order to save the world is not Evil , cause even the legendary Sparda sacrificed a woman so he can close the door to the demon world
so you're not gonna tell me that Sparda is evil too , Are you ?!
You got me wrongThere is a distinct difference. What Sparda did, he did for the greater good. What Vergil does is for his own selfish reasons. And it also never states that Sparda killed the human priestess, only that her blood was required to seal the demon gate. It is also never stated if she volunteered to it or not, no where does it say that Sparda forced her into this, she could might as well have offered it herself, knowing she would be part of saving mankind.
Vergil doesn't kill people so he can save humankind, he does so because he wants to gain power. Vergil is nothing like Sparda, he isn't honourable and his intentions aren't for the greater good and there is no justification for what he does. Vergil is evil.
You got me wrong
Sparda was an example to show that in DMC killing doesn't mean Evil, sacrificing someone means killing him/her so Sparda did kill that woman ( whether she was volunteered or not doesn't change the fact that he killed her )
all I'm saying is that definition of Good and Evil in DMC world is not the same as in our world , so killing in DMC won't necessarily make you PURE EVIL !!!
it's not that simple , we don't know what is Vergil's intentions so we can't say whether he is Evil or notGood and Evil are always defined by the eye of the beholder. Then it doesn't matter what world we are in. There is no definite answer to what is good and what is evil. As I have stated before, the terrorist who bombs the enemy believes he is doing good while those who are getting bombed thinks the terrorist is evil.
The way Vergil is, his intentions, his actions, the way he goes around doing what he does, to me that is a path of evil he treads. He is a selfish, egotistical, cold, calculative, merciless, and power-hungry man who is butthurt about what demons did to him in the past, so he is willing to sacrifice thousands of human lives just to gain the power of his father. Not so he can protect or rescue humankind, not because he wants to fight for the greater good, but because of his own selfish needs. To me, that means he is evil.
If you guys think it is alright to kill alot of people to gain power, you might want to look at my terrorist statement above and think in which end your place is in that scenario.
it's not that simple
PS : terrorist ?! really ?! we are talking about a world with demons and monsters not our world .
lol , thanks for the info but i know what a terrorist meansterrorists have existed since civilisation. ie bandits, raiders, monguls, kkk, al-queda. etc theyre just people who cause destruction and death for one reason or another.
if hes in this game hes obviously gonna have some evil motive or a setup/ story arc forming one for the next in the fanchise. in limbo there aret any humans nor any direct way to hurt them. but i guess you could kill people by destroying a bridge in limbo. or something like that.
it seems that we have different opinions about the definition of Evilim asuming he just wants the power. no long term goals he just wants to be strong like his father. YES that does make him evil as selfishness is one of the 7 deadly sins. PLUS lets not forget that the method of gaining this power involves killing his brother (attempt) and sacrificing a town of humans. all that aside by undoing spardas seal hes opened a permanent gate to hell which will cause millions if not BILLIONS of people to die as demons of all powers and rank swarm earth like they planned to b4 sparda. so his METHOD IS EVIL. now like i said b4 Vergil is not 100% evil (noone is) but id say hes far enough in it to be a pretty evil villain.
it seems that we have different opinions about the definition of Evil
in my opinion being selfish is bad and I actually don't like selfish people but , do i think that they are EVIL ?! NO
let me give you an example ( FFXIII-2 Spoiler Alert ) , in FFXIII-2 Caius destroyed the world ( literally ) so that he can stop watching his loved one die before him for all eternity , many people would say that he is Evil but in my opinion he is a desperate selfish guy who had suffered so much pain that he wants to make it stop at any cost ( being immortal and watching your loved one die and bring back to life for like forever is not that easy )
he is selfish , but Will that make him Evil ?! NO , at least not in my opinion
Vergil is hurt , he had suffered many pain through his life and no one helped him in those time , so now he wants to help himself by gaining the power of his fathers ( he even offered this to Dante , if he was Evil he wouldn't do that , see he is not evil he just wants to look out for himself ) and he could careless about what happens to other people just like they didn't care when he was in pain
and i think no one should judge him for that , who knows maybe we would have done the same thing if we were in his place
I'm OK with thatwell you and i have two completely different opinions when it comes to morality. when it comes to life the only thing that i think alows one person to kill another is self defence. even then its a little iffy. now mass genocide to fulfill some selfish goal is PURE EVIL in my opinion. but hey to each their own right. lets just agree that Vergil is a villain and whether or not hes evil is subjective ok
I'm OK with that
on topic : as i said before i like to see Vergil be something like this
