how to get avatars

Well the home page of this site has a selection of avatars , and google has many images. But if you mean getting one on, you just save a picture and on your profile just browse for that pic and save. Hope it helps .

Unsure what you mean by what file. Just find an avatar you want then go to Options > Edit Avatar > Browse > Then find the image on your computer and Save.
