I think it was left to him by Sparda like how Rebellion was left to him through the angel tatooI know Original Dante's were given to him by Nell when she was dying in the novel. But what about the reboot? Does it ever going into detail about them?
How so? I don't remember anything in the comic mentioning that :x
They were both interrogating him (using physical torture):He beat two separate demon cops to death, with his bare hands, and took the guns as trophies
When Dante speaks about his past in DmC, it shows him unarmed fighting hands up.
There is no sign of Ebony and Ivory until after the comic. Now that's not solid enough right? Ok. In the comic, Dante is being tormented by demons and is practically defenseless until he gains Rebellion and escapes. Where was Ebony and Ivory during all of this? I wanna think locked away or stripped from him, but that wouldn't make any sense seeing as Dante reveals in DmC against the Hunter that he's used bullets to thwart off demons and it hasn't failed him until now.
I think Dante inherited Rebellion, killed demons until he got Ebony and Ivory. He may have gotten those guns during his escape.
Exactly what part is this where he's fighting unarmed with his hands up? When he's part of a riot and he's pushing against some cops? That's not indicative of a lack of any sort of weaponry, just that he isn't about using his guns (or sword) on people who aren't demons.
In the comic, Dante is in Hellfire, which is a prison, of course they took away and locked up whatever weapons they knew he had on him, but he then also got out, taking his effects with him.
And really, you can't really take a lot of what is shown in the comic as it is anyway, because it contradicts what the game tells us. Man...why is it no supplemental reading material can jive with the games...?
About all you can get from it is that Vergil helped Kat, they fell in love (way too quickly), then Vergil wiped the memories of that love from their minds so he wouldn't be tempted to risk his life and ambitions for her safety. Everything else is just...a horribly paced mess.
