How come people didn't like the demon/angel only enemies?

If you think it was hard to keep switching between angelic weapons mid-combat, I have no idea how you dealt with styles in DMC4.
Because I could use any weapon against any enemy in DMC4, with DmC, I had to keep on my toes and make sure I don't hit the wrong enemy with the wrong weapon. Still easy, but it's a bit taxing.

I could take them or leave them, but I thought they were interesting for DmC in and of itself. Most of the classic series had enemies that also limited what weapons were useful against them in certain instances, so it wasn't much more of a stretch for me.

I thought they added an interesting dynamic, pushing you to create combos using a smaller set of effective tools. It would have been better if they filled out the skillsets more, though, and I wouldn't really miss them.
