Help with something random!

i need help with something guys....
Wait, hang on my boyfriend is ambushing me! ok, i'm back... so here's my dilemma other than the fact that im being ambushed.... for Anime Boston 2008 im, coz playing as Trish and my boyfriend, who isn't really the Dante type is coming with me. However the plan is to dress him up as Vergil. so what i ask of you guys, could you help me come up with a reason why Vergil might be hanging around with Trish. The simple answer of he wouldn't is not good enough.

Before meeting Dante Trish looked like the kind that would go with the most powerful so it is not so unlikely in an alternative universe.
