HELP! PLEASE! QUICKLY!

hi i just completed the easy mode on devil may cry 4 and i want to switch characters so i can do the secret missions useing dante but it won't let me and comes up with automatic why is the happening?:wacko:

Because that's the way the game is buddy. Nero missions only with Nero and Dante missions only with Dante. The change character option allows you only to switch between normal controls and automatic and between normal characters and super characters (with infinite Devil Trigger, they get unlocked after you defeat the game in the "Dante Must Die" difficulty).

^ What Tony said, I know, it sucks, I'd have frankly loved to have played through the game as Dante given the choice, but it's just the way the game is made, the character select screen is only the choice between Regular character, Automatic, and Super, providing you've finished Dante must Die mode for the latter costume.

It took me forevr just to find out that i couldnt use dante on nero's missions XD
