Head2Head: DmC Devil May Cry Demo Screenshot Comparison

I don't understand why people constantly **** on UE3. I know it's not the greatest engine, but it is the most modifiable. At that point it really comes down to how much tweaking the developer does and what they add.

Asura's Wrath was on UE3, as well as the Batman Arkham games. Even XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I think those games have made incredible use of the engine >.>

Asuras Wrath was on the Unreal Engine!? Oh shi- I never knew that. I always thought it was part of Capcoms SF4 (MT Framework). Damn, Unreal!? Awesome.

Also, nobody is crapping on the Unreal Engine dude(I read through this topic again to be sure). I effin' love the UE; even if it is overused. The only reason we're talking about the UE engine is because it wasn't developed for the PS3 and generally the PS3 is an extremely .....hard-to-work with console (for software and hardware). It's why Valve never brought games to it, why certain bugs are only available on PS3, why DLCs aren't on PS3 but are on Xbox and why some UE games aren't on PS3. It's not a bad engine, it's one of the most well made and flexible. T'is nice to see the PS3 being able to handle it with no real issues. (Aside from dropping frame rates in cutscenes and shading).

The xbox360 version is obviously better, those who voted otherwise either know **** or are biased fanboys.
Read carefully: no textures (except the ugly fog which sucks anyways) are missing, it's only late pop-up.

PS3 has better graphics overall, but there are some shadowing problems during cutscenes and frame rate sucks monkey butt. Now, I play on both and during combat the frame rate does not seem to be that big of a problem for me. But I'll get mine for the 360 regardless because I enjoy the fluidity of it better.

In terms of looks, the PS3 wins, in terms of gameplay, the 360 wins.

And I'm definitely getting it for the PC eventually though because it is obviously the superior version.

How does fog reducing visibility equals better graphics? It just has a bit sharper textures, but in terms of shadowing, the xbox360 wins.

Oh yeah, the PS3's shadowing kinda isn't too good. It also has a bit more contrast... too dark shadows and too light highlights (those secret mission doors... my god). Besides the textures though, I just think the colors are more balanced and well done on the PS3... like the scythe not having an eye-blinding blue color and the far away colors are more vivid and less washed out like on the 360.
