In some screenshots PS3 is winning XBOX in my opinion..in some other, XBOX leagues ahead... In the PS3 version....the CCTV for example...has a slight advantage over the visual department...but in some facial animations the XBOX console is better than the PS3 console....Also we must take into consideration that these are demo screens...so the final version of dmc will be a lot better ....what do you think guys ?? :)

70% of the voters think that the PS3 version looks better and I agree with them. The PS3 version has better textures and more fog in the background which makes the environment look more surreal. Well this is a surprise for a UE3 game.

Got to say that I'm surprised the PS3 is better. Usually Unreal Engine looks worse on PS3. But as I'll be getting PS3 version, I'm glad it's looking good.

Ah, the CCTV textures... they're actually there, it's just a little glitch where the texture needs a little longer to load. It happens quite often, but I guess it'll be fixed in the final version :3 It's pretty unfair of them to use a screenshot of it when it glitched, for a comparison like that :/
Personally, I'd say the XBox version is a tad better, since the shadows on Dante's face in the second to last one are A LOT smoother, whereas the PS3 version's are rather block-y :x And to me, the faces of the characters are a lot more important than environments.

Looks exactly the same, mostly. Yeah, the PS3 version does include that fog texture, so that's good. But some of the pictures seem to have been altered. There's one picture with the guy drinking Virility that you just can't compare, because somehow, the other picture was altered to look much darker.

Fog textures and sometimes some better 'sheen', as you can see on Dante's coat in the picture after the guy drinking Virility. I don't understand what those commenters are talking about, though. Some are saying textures and shadows are missing in the 360 version, but I really don't see it. What I do see is that the contrast is turned up on the PS3 version, but contrast doesn't equal quality, you know.

They didn't change the contrast. This is very common for multiplatform games. Some 360 games will look darker than its PS3 counterpart and vice-versa.

While I do think the PS3 has slightly better textures on the camera. What these images don't show are what the videos display. If you made a website comparing videos you'd see the the frames dropped on PS3 are much worse, especially on cutscenes. Also the shading on PS3 isn't as good as Xbox. But there's no point comparing anyway since PC will always better and this is 8 year old hardware. It's good that the PS3 version is able to handle the Unreal Engine though without and major errors.

Still, I don't see large differences between the two. There's fog in the PS3 version, but I don't understand what those commenters mean on that site. Seriously, missing shadows, missing textures? The PS3 often has darker shadows with less detail, but that doesn't mean the PS3's shadows are better.

Seems a bit similar to the argument of Samsung screens being better than screens of other brands, because 'the black and white contrast is higher'. Higher contrast doesn't equal higher quality. Besides, Samsung screens often have very unrealistic colors; far too bluish, usually.

Face to face with a demo ? meh okay...
Pre-order the PS3 version but not because of this so so comparaison...

The fact that they made a comparison using screenshots, and also speaking my mind about people's reactions.
The guys from that web site are in no way affiliated with NT or Capcom. They do this kind of thing all the time. NT/Capcom didn't paid them to do this comparison or anything.

Gbraga means that they should compare videos of the combat rather than still images.:)

I dunno if that is what he meant but this is pretty much a standard lensoftruth.com article. They compare texture quality, lighting, shadows and all that graphical jazz from screen shots.

The PS3 vs Xbox 360 comparison thing is starting to get old, to be honest. I am surprised that the 360 doesn't include that mist, but other than that, both versions seem equal to each other, which isn't surprising, as the 360 and PS3 have very similar video cards, I believe. Wow, a lot of commas there :P

I believe a ton of optimisations were made to the unreal engine on the ps3 when ut3 was made with mod support for ps3
