Mark Rein of Epic saw it coming Epic Ready To Have Sales Records Smashed By Halo 3 and it has already been confirmed that Halo 3 (before its even released) has became the fastest-selling pre-ordered videogame EVER. It is now a million unit seller before even hitting the shelves according to a recent Microsoft press release.

The senior merchandising VP at GameStop had this to say about it...

What we've experienced is nothing short of phenomenal! Halo 3 has eclipsed many previous records and will prove to be one of the must-have items of 2007.

For the first time in history, a game can be compared to a major movie release.
