Getting used to Nero

For anyone who has been with the DMC series and immersed themselves in the DMC gameplay, playing as Dante has been a mainstay. Actually, I have to admit I was a bit upset that the main character would be someone new in DMC4. I've had the game for three weeks now, and I'm finally warming to the idea of Nero. Having acquired practically all of his abilities and upgrades, he's a powerful character indeed, and his connection to Vergil/Yamato leaves me curious to know more about how his character will develop in the series.

I am curious as to the hardcore fans if you experienced similar reluctance towards the game concrning Nero. The gameplay for both Dante and Nero is awesome, and I can now make room for Nero as a certified ***-kicker in the DMC world.
