Gearbox seeking external developer for Duke Nukem 5?

So Duke Nukem is still on the priority list for Gearbox which makes me happy, but Gearbox and external development is not a good thing to hear and you need not look any further than Aliens Colonial Marines to find out.
But to find some positives you can look at the Homeworld series.

The good news for Duke is that due to Ash vs The Evil Dead on the horizon Duke will have plenty of oneliners to steal again

Still I'm disappointed that a Duke Nukem game isn't being made right now so I'll have to wait some more years, but I'm happy that Duke is not dead.

Give game to Flying Wild Hog and they restore it to what it was back than.

i wish i could say i have high hopes but i'm not sure

while i liked DNF it could have been way better
and we all saw the straight up false advertising for Colonial Marines

but something that makes this different is that both of those games were in development hell for years

if they can stay on schedule without switching game engines constantly
i think the game should come out alright

i think both are responsible or at least randy pitchford he was the one doing the most hyping of the game

Umm I just wrote he put 10.000 $ of his own money into it
Also I read that SEGA rushed development for almost an year.

the article i saw said he lost ten million not ten thousand but that could be a typo on your part

it's amazing how you can rush a game that was in development for 7 years

anyway back to Duke
they should get rid of the 2 weapon rule which i think was one of the biggest criticisms of DNF
and make him fast
that's what i like in a shooter
speed and tons of weapons

totally Shadow warrior is basicly to Duke Nukem

The mere possibility of Duke's return is a worldwide trend:
