GAME: Pre-order and release?

Maybe it's something to gauge how many would be likely to pre-order from them? I don't really know how marketing works...

Unless Capcom or Ninja Theory says something about the release date, I wouldn't trust other sites.

Meh, I don't know anything about marketing but even I know that's a stupid idea.First of all, they didn't mention a release date ever before, so if this release date came in with no official announcement, there go the sales. Second, the game is still "A Work in Progress". If you had a mind like mine, you'd be waiting for prices to go down. There go more sales. Third, obviously the DMC HD Collection will get more sales. DmC--while still from the same company and series--will just be ignored.
So I'm not trusting the release date. A pre-order is normal, but a release date in April is just ridiculous.

Capcom would only be shooting them self in the foot if they would release DmC at that date. It's most likely to be a place holder or maybe that date is when pre-orders begin or something.

Anyway, about the Capcom supporting SOPA thing.

Article from Kotaku:
Capcom Says It Never Said It Supported SOPA, Won’t Say It Doesn’t Support SOPA, Either

Earlier this week, according to Digital Trends, a Capcom spokesperson was asked for the company's position on the Stop Online Piracy Act. "The ESA represents us on these matters," was the reply. The ESA supports SOPA. Applying the transitive property, that means Capcom supports SOPA.
Not so, says Christian Svensson, who blamed "bad journalism" for the inference that the publisher supports SOPA. "We've only ever stated that the ESA represents us in legislative matters (again, like every other publisher). We have not stated any stance on our support (or not) for SOPA. Inferring more than that is bad journalism."
Fine, then. Hiding behind your lobbyist, and pretending to state a position on an issue of extreme interest to your customers, when asked a direct question by a legitimate news agency, is a "cop-out."

To be fair, Capcom isn't actually supporting SOPA but neither are they against it.

Alright, then I won't hold it against them. :)

They are most likely for it. If they say they are against it gamers will hit hard on them.
So they choose to say "i am neutral" which is bs.

lol at capcom being neutral.Seriously.
neutral is often a coward way for people to not tell their opinions. There is few people who truly can be neutral.

Ah, CoolDemon. Ever so suspicious and again without any proof to hold against them.

I don't have any proof other than millions and millions of gamers who are against Sopa.

"Capcom: We are for Sopa"
"Gamers react"

Common sense is my proof perhaps?

If this is true, looks like they want to do the same thing as Konami. They also planning to release Silent Hill HD Collection, Silent Hill: Downpour and Silent Hill: Book of Memories in March.

It's Not True , one of the developers from NT Forums (DomVs) Said That It's Not Official ;) :

Thanks Sawyer1331. :D
I actually managed to get a reply from Gamestop, apparently it's a 'guide date'.
It seems stupid to have it listed and on pre-order, when it's not even near ready for release.
I know Game have money trouble because they've had to close shops, but say they went into administration... someone who actully had money taken for this wouldn't get it back... technically they're ripping off their customers and giving them false info.
