I've emailed them asking if this is official, but i haven't heard anything back.

Yes, or they may be thinking "We will loose many DMC fans, so why not give DMC fans DMC HD and the new fanbase of DmC (not DMC) DmC?".

Even if its coming out that time, I still might not pre-order as I got finals and other games to worry about.

well it is nice to know they are least releasing it before the fall
during the holiday season Halo 4 is coming out
GTA v is most likely to come out this year
Max payne 3 is coming out in march this year

Since they are releasing it earlier than that tells me they know that competition would kick them into the dust

Capcom supporting SOPA? I'm losing even more respect for them every day that goes by.
Now I hope the major income of the new Devil May Cry sales will go to Ninja Theory and not Capcom.

Anyways, there have already been many release dates set on different sites and none of them were true, so I wouldn't count on this being true either.

but don't worry
not only have millions of sites went against
basically every Anon (including me) went against it and when anonymous gets involved that means things just got serious
GOOGLE went against it
Mojang went against it
and a bunch of other companies did
