Well... if they make it as hard as the DS version chances are you'll not get far until it totally destroys your party in random encounters. A little later you'll suffer through a hell just surviving passing through dungeons and the boss of the dungeons serves more like a last hit on you rather than a boss you can be prepared to. The random encounters at the end of the game is so horribly unfair and insta-killing you just want to destroy the damn PSP and it's game just screaming, being unable to complete it so you steal a save from the internet with a max stated party just to complete the final dungeon, still having quite a fight with the last boss and barely surviving it's hell in pure form.
Or... that was me playing the DS version. <_<
Still, the 2d feel I think is alot better, and no map everywhere makes me look at the dungeons instead of the white and grey map all the time. ^_^
