Microsoft started their event with anouncement of Fable Legends which is exclusive on Xbox One. It's shows a strange trailer explain that you can take the role of hero or villain, not to mention the stunning virtual environments, which vary between exotic forest design and carefully designed castles.

Im liking the art direction change, it has matured somewhat. Also seems a smart idea to do a 4 player co-op game as they have failed so many times in the past to create a good co-op experience, building a whole game around getting it right could be great if they get it to work. Here is some more info:

Fable Legends features up to four-player co-op, SmartGlass control
Fable Legends isn't an MMO, Lionhead studio head John Needham clarified during a presentation in Cologne today; the game will however feature up to four-player co-op with four pre-set character classes.
Xbox One players can expect to find traditional character types in the game, including the tank-like Hero of Strength heroine, the mage-like Hero of Will, the ranged shooter or Hero of Skill and a general damage dealer.
Villain characters can also be played in the game, it was announced. Fable villains will have Tower Defense-like control of the environment and are able to control the spawn points of enemies for the heroes to battle. Users can take on the villain role this via SmartGlass, it was confirmed.
In typical Fable form, the game includes the standard Brit-angled sense of humor and will include a number of recognizable areas across Albion, home to all of the Fable games. An early prototype of the game shown during the event offered a look at enemy types that include Red Caps, while Needham added that enemies will be based on folklore and fairy tales.
John Needham was recently announced as studio head of Lionhead earlier this year. During the presentation Needham emphasized his 13 years of experience in online gaming, which likely will play a large role in the development of Fable Legends.

And Co-op play (I'm assuming there's no single player)... other than that, it looks good...

There is a single player element apparently:

In Fable Legends, you can enjoy all of the game’s content in a single player experience. You can play with other people in a four-player cooperative experience. Your party could be all human players, or a mix of players and AI-controlled Heroes. You can switch easily between single player and multiplayer styles of play whenever you decide, or when a friend signs on. During a quest, you can elect to battle a human or an AI Villain. As a Villain, you can challenge parties of human players, AI opponents, or mixed groups.

Fable Legends is being made with the Fable spirit firmly in mind. However, this is not a continuation of the previous Fable games, especially when it comes to the chronology. It’s a brand new series of adventures at the dawn of an age of Heroes. Fable Legends is the only Fable core game in development, and we have no plans to make a sequel to Fable III. However, in Fable Legends you’ll find many of the great features of Fable I, II, and III have been carried forward in our game’s design. That means the world of Albion, exciting stories, quests, humour, light-hearted action, and memorable characters.
Beta is coming in 2014

Fable Legends is a departure for the franchise in some respects, a "return to roots" in others. On the one hand: mandatory four player co-op with either humans or AI! Player-controlled villains! And on the other, a world that's much closer in feel to that of the original Fable, as detailed by lead content designer Ben Brooks over on Lionhead's blog.

The Journey wasnt great to be honest (like all Kinect titles) and at least they have stuck to only including the main series games in the package. Anniversary looks decent and hope the new game and package brings some fans back to our Fable Forums.

Fable Legends Supports Cross-Play between Xbox One & PC

Lionhead's upcoming cooperative and competitive Fable Legends – previously exclusive to Xbox One – is also coming to Windows 10. Microsoft made the announcement before a short demo during the company's Windows 10-focused event.

Not only can PC gamers play the game on the new operating system, but it also supports full cross-play. In other words, PC and Xbox One users should be able to play with/against each other seamlessly.

New trailer for Fable Legends from E3:

It showcases a new costume for one of the older heroes, a bit of combat for two of the newer heroes, and it looks like two brand new, unannounced heroes. And, most importantly, new villains and enemies.
