Doppelganger tech

Yeah it is similar but I wished holding Judgement Cut would actually let the real Vergil auto-deflect enemy attacks like he does when Dante fights him, lol. But then that'd be way too broken. :P

Yeah that's the only other thing that I wished we could do. However! I have tested this a bit since seeing the OP video so I have found if you can do one swing with human stance yamato with the right precision you can in fact parry most attacks against you and get the DG back up under your control in less than half a second if you are super super soooopah fast at attacking then holding the button down after. So it isn't as OP as how Vergil is as an enemy but almost :P It does take a good amount of testing and practicing. I'm in the process of making a video of this as we speak actually.

Don't worry I'll give you a big credit 8BitHero for showing this to us all.

After looking at the Move List again I realized it's called "Judgement Cut" and not Overdrive, lol. Why the hell were people calling it Overdrive?! At least I know now so I won't look stupid when I make the video.

Wait isn't it Perfect Slice?
Also, I referred to it as Overdrive because you're holding in attack and releasing it. Dunno.
*Confused*

This is awesome. Leave it to mariotz to find some cool stuff early.
I have another within the hour :D (No new Vergil tech though).

Judgement Cut is the move itself, The Perfect Slice is the "just charge" version of it.

Btw, subscribed to your channel. I agree with you when you say that playing vergil is so much more fun than dante. His "teleport" system for the lift/pull mechanics is awesome and it actually made me completely forget about any need for a lock on button, since you can change any sword embed in the enemy to demon or angel at any time, and if you do hit the wrong enemy, you just shoot another one instead of pulling the one you don't want to.

Besides, there is also no limit for the teleport distance, there've been times when I was literally far away below a plataform and would teleport right back at it instantly, thanks to having a sword embed in a enemy in the plataform.

A little something I found while messing with this in training mode:
While holding Judgement Cut charge, when you use upperslash while the Doppelganger is next to you, he teleports next to the enemy, regardless of height, and uses it (instead of helm breaker in the air). What does this mean, you ask? Infinite launcher loop. By using your upperslash right as your Doppelganger teleports back next to you, you can launch the enemy higher and higher until you hit the ceiling of the map.

Yeah the DG always goes right to the enemy it's quite nifty isn't it?

Come on peeps, lets see some creative videos with this awesome tech. Its obviously a deliberate glitch type skill. Pretty much lets you create your own lag between vergil and his doppelganger.

I put my video as a video response to you'll hopefully get some views out of it. Only problem with the video is that you use L2/LT for demon mode when not everyone has the same layout. I'd think using universal terms would've been easier to undrstand such as:
0:45
Angel mode + (Hold)Shoot - [Solar Flare]
Angel mode + Special Melee - (in air)Aerial Flush
etc.

Good stuff anyway :)

I've accepted your video response. Looks like you'd already gotten all the views before me, lol. Next time I'll just use universal terms. At least I used the default buttons so it shouldn't be too bad for the console players.

I've actually tested this and added it onto my video. :)

It's pretty cool; when you're about to get struck by an enemy, you can just Evade / Trick Cancel the Judgement Cut Hold and then cancel the Evade into a Slash to perform a parry. It must be done very quickly though. It's tricky because you have to press Evade and then Slash while still holding in Judgement Cut.
