Does 4chan = Limbo?!?!?!?!?

MegaMad9

The Mad Man
You always see in Limbo the writing on the walls: be it "WE HATE YOU", "DIE", "KILL DANTE" or any other saying to show that the demons loathe Dante. Especially in all caps, which is the internet version of YELLING VERY LOUDLY.
Which is funny because 4chan is infamous for hating DmC: Devil May Cry and is filled with tons of hate messages for Ninja Theory. I believe 4chan also has the first recorded usage of the word "Donte".
Limbo is a demonic realm that demons drag Dante into in a vain attempt to kill him and 4chan is website famous for hating Dante, where most users write "WE HATE YOU", "DIE", and "KILL DANTE" on various threads.
Notice any similarities guys and girls? :)
*This is a joke guys, my cousin first told me it and I thought it would be pretty funny to pass it on.
Edit: You guys always have the best gifs

I know you're just joking, but please, let's not fuel the hostility between boards with things like this.

I know your joking and you mean well but some things should just be kept to yourself. Ya know?

That is true. "Though a fight every now and then does make life a little more interesting, don't ya think?" - Dante (DMC4)
In all seriousness, tons of the threads are ripe with discussions (like the DmC review threads), so I figured a little joking around couldn't hurt :)

That was actually pretty funny TC, and i think the comparison is right on. I also think that description fits whinerfaqs pretty well. I had a good laugh...until the PC brigade comes in that is... "hostility between boards" lol!

And yet you people keep wondering why haters also hate people who support the game. It's that "haters gonna hate hurr look at the haters they're so stupid let's laugh at them!" smartass attitude that gives them all the MORE reason to hate DmC and its supporters. Yet you continue to ignore it, as if the problem was the posture you take on the arguement, not the approach you take to it.

Who cares who "started" it or who's the one angry? You want to somehow prove you're better than them? Don't drop down to their level and fight fire with fire. If you're going to support DmC, be rational and civil, not hostile and bashful like the "haters".

Joke's on us when, in some random interview after the game releases, one of the creative directors says 4chan was directly related to those Limbo messages..

I fully support this.

I've been to both sides of the argument about DmC and whatnot and I'm not gonna lie, sometimes I actually think it's more civil towards the anti side.

Mainly because most of the people that I see who hate the game are completely past the look of the character, rather than the core mechanics itself. Yet some of the pro side of DmC look at those types of people and continue call them haters, idiots, and whatnot rather than discussing with them in a civil manner.
I even had someone told me that I wanted this game to fail when all I was discussing was my dislike for the altered mechanics, several bits of the dialogue that I don't particularly like, and the difficulty.

And don't get me started with this one particular user who told me that my review for DmC was "bulls***" on YouTube, just because I had a different opinion than him. One of his personal messages included this:

"that game is a perfectly good game .The story combat and graphics are all much better than all the other dmcs! you call yourself a fan but you don't even acknowledge when something new and BETTER is happening to the series. plus all your doing is being a smart mouth dumbass who doesn't even know what the **** your talking about. do me a favor and die with your bullshit and stupidity."

I just don't like how when someone criticize this game from what they have seen/played so far, it's often meet with "HATERZ!!!" yet when someone praise this game, almost everyone follows like sheep. It's quite annoying.

I sure don't care about someone who hates me because i have different taste than him and i'm always gonna laugh at people who lose it because of some changes made to a freaking video game. We have the right to make fun of them but nobody is forcing you to laugh friend....

That's what most of the messages in this thread are saying though...

To be honest, that REALLY goes both ways. Both the Pro and Anti DmC camp gravitates pretty strongly toward their respective opinions.

There's a fine line between opinion and conjecture. If someone says something blatantly incorrect like "Dante's Devil Trigger is just a change in hair colour" it's up to someone else to correct that. It's also perfectly okay to say "the sex scene is silly in my opinion." But if someone goes around being inappropriate and saying things like "Donte Dino is emo edgy **** YOU" you have to put your foot down.

Yeah that's true. I hate it when I get name called by people because I don't like DmC, but I hate it even more when people at like idiots just because something changed to a point where they don't agree with it without explaining why.

If you don't like it and if you can't explain why, then don't throw a tantrum about the changes. Plain and simple.

Welp, this thread is going to go places.

EDIT: wait, nevermind. We are all pretty damn good at civil discussion. Go DMC.org and all it's members.

It's one thing to say "I don't like this game, it doesn't suit me, I'll skip it, but ill still stay interested," and another to say "**** you tameem and Capcom this is not Dante you duck I hate you... Give me dmc5"

I don't go on 4chan, I do not like it there, so I have no idea how people have reacted on DmC... and I don't care.
Stop flaming people from another forum. If you need to say something, then say it to THEM!
