Personally, I had grown to like Dante's black hair in the grounded, more realistic, less Anime oriented story. And was kinda disappointed to see Dante's hair go completely white at the end. However, I do appreciate that it was a story-related change, rather than just to appease the haters.

I really do prefer his black hair, and for that matter it was very strange (to me) how his hair suddenly grew half an inch. It actually looks like parts of his hair were still grey or something. In the concept art, there are a couple pictures of Dante with half white and half black hair, split down the middle- maybe this is what they were going for?

Either way, if they make a sequel I'm sure they'll design him to look good with whatever he's got. But I'm really going to miss the black, honestly.

I completely agree. I even kind of liked the white splotch on the back but overall I felt they should have kept the black, especially after the wig thing at the beginning.

I find it weird that people didn't know his hair was going to turn white by the end of the game or even that they are surprised it was going to happen. I'm surprised he didn't have a red coat by the end, as well. It was made very obvious and clear from the very beginning that the Dante of DmC would eventually turn into the Dante we've know all along.

and it was mentioned in interviews several times

The point of the wig was foreshadowing his hair becoming White. It was irony. He says not in a million year, a week later? White.

It was always the haircut that bothered me a lot more than the color. So I think he still looks goofy either way, but a little less silly when it's white. A little. Even though the wig scene was supposed to be funny, I thought it was an improvement over Captain Mohawk.
