Do the normal people in DMC know Demons exist?

All in all T to the Redgrave's comment seems to the best because everyone is saying what he said in their own words. Which is some normal folks know about demons and they usually have some shady background which connects them to the demons and/or demon knowledge. Than their is normal folks who don't know. That makes sense and it works.

The anime explains this well, there are people that have witnessed demons and their powers but it's not a popular belief among the humans, And though people have seen them, I don't think very many would actually believe these people enough for everyone to be aware.

oh good i've actually been wondering this for some time...but i think they do because in 3 when the tower emerges...you dont think anyone will see that O_O
