DmC2 Story, Character & Weapon Ideas

Let's rock, baby!
Still no new news about DmC getting a sequel yet.

I wish they did already.

Anyway... in the story...

Dante will return to the city after a few years of training since the demons revealed themselves. The problem in his situation is that the demon part of him will slowly take him over if he doesn't find a way to keep his angel half in balance.

The other problem is that the angels have entered the battlefield to rid the demons of the human world, while they hunt down Dante who blame Sparda for Eva's death. But one angel... Azrael, the angel of death, wishes to help Dante unlock the angel half of him in order to unlock his full potential as a nephilim and prove to his fellow race that Dante is not their enemy.

Vergil also returns but this time under a new name.... Nelo Angelo. He now leads the demons to conquer mankind and find Sparda in order to take his powers. The problem.... is that he somehow escaped right after Limbo and the human world merged.

With some fellow allies Dante had made in his travels, along with his fellow companion and friend, Kat. Dante fights for his destiny to defend mankind from demonic tyranny and must face the angels from their wrath.

My idea is similar, but with Kat being slowly corrupted by her dabbling in dark magics
 
What about character ideas?

I know that an angel named Azrael can fight alongside Dante to help him unlock his potential.

As for part of the story:

After he returned for a few years, Dante used enough money he gained in his travels to buy his old home and rebuilt it into a new Order. He name his "shop" Devil May Cry. Not only are he and Kat managing the place, but also in his travels he gained allies in his group.

- a blacksmith
- a mechanic
&
- a researcher/philosopher of demon and angel mythology

Phineas who became one of his mentors in the fight against the demons.
 
Hmmm... but why would Vergil want to take Sparda's power? It's not like he's depicted as a particularly strong demon as he is in the original saga. Actually, I think it's pretty safe to assume that bot Dante and Vergil, as they are in DmC, already surpass Sparda easily.
 
I hope for more of the same tbh . I loved the game . Maybe split the game half and half or 60 40 dante -vergil. Perhaps introduce fully demonic transformations. And KEEP VERGIL ALIVE!
 
All great ideas all i would add is give dante some proper feats in the cutscenes this time and make him older stronger and faster with angel dash developed into a trickster style deal allowing multiple teleports in any direction when DT'd and give an angel trigger which boosts movement , running and attack speed
 
I don't think DmC2 is coming guys. I'd like to see it made, but if Capcom can only financially support one series...

Also, give both Dante and Vergil more kicking moves. This seriously needs to happen.
 
All depends on sales. If this game hits more 9s and 10s this time the sales should come with time. Which means DmC 2 will happen, if the sales are high enough.

If they do a second one, I want a much better story. DmC's story was good, but hardly Ninja Theory at their best. Enslaved featured a better story, and I was expecting something on that level.
 
I'm with @Judge as I think I read one comment on YouTube that felt the story was muddled and they felt stuck between the old and the new which I did agree with.

I think the sequel could be a chance to correct that by focusing more on the differences rather than the similarities.

In the sequel the game has changed (pun not intended) and Dante cant be as laissez-faire as he was in the regular franchise.

Im not saying this Dante cant still be fun-loving nor not have similarities but he has to more pro-active, thoughtful and on top his game rather than how he was before.

He can't spend his days sitting on his bum, eating pizza and waiting for Lady and Morrison to give him jobs like in the anime.
 
as much as i like phinneas to be the james bond's Q for Dante, i'd also like to see him as a villain, that lines he said "but then who will take mundus' place" alone makes it a fine twist for it.. i mean a limbo prisoner walking and about? villain will be great..

and i want to see dante with longer hair as seen on my avatar, ala keanu's john wick, still pretty but says i dont really care, and still manly..
 
I hope they try new things . Maybe next game try get through to vergil . Maybe a battle between them both near the end where they both unlock full devil triggers and maybe somhow vergil comes to his senses. And maybe last fight will be arkham style fight where they work together and fight for the same cause . My little fault i had with DmC is that the fight with mundus . That could have been so much better i think . Like better cutscene where we see more of a fight between the three. Not saying double jackpot but something on those lines
 
I wouldnt mind some old faces making a return.

Hopefully a less linear expierence with more story replay value.

Or multiple payable campaigns like KH birth by Sleep.
 
Also its a diffrent series so only thing i want to see coming over from DMC is the full devil trigger. Keep vergil alive and let ninja theory have another go. Wpuld be so nice to have both series going
