DmC - Your Expectations

I expect this game will be amazing for me and will have everything I want in it! I do know that many youtubers will put up their own negative reviews for two reasons: 1) to get youtube subscribers/ upvotes and 2) because they have stated their hate for it on youtube and would look hypocritical if they suddenly said they loved it even if the demo blows them away... I think the game will sell ok but capcom will do a DMC5 which'll be awful but all the old fans will buy it and I'll wish for a DmC2 instead! Critically speaking it will have generally good reviews but not many will listen to them But I will LOVE DmC no matter the glitches and I will probably lOve it more than any previous Devil May Cry!

im going to love this game heres why:

1. the art looks awesome
2. the plot is genuinely interesting and different
3. the music is brilliant it really gets you pumped when u play
4. i can now cosplay as dante when im on the train and people will think me terrifying rather than some otaku(but i am)
5. Vergil seems like a mega pimp. cool suave yet brutal and determined
6. i love how they made Eva into this legendary angel (please also a warrior general or sommit)
7. they are actually trying to expand on the past lore of this dante ie sparda and not just hinting/ random statements
8. the universe they set it in is amazing and id honestly like to see more stories from inside it

now i can speak for anyone but myself but thats how i feel and seriously, if youre going to youtube comments for a rational opinion then u seriously need to read more. i recomend this http://www.theonion.com/(that was a joke)

And don't say story, because the previous DMCs, while not having masterpieces of modern literature, had fun stories.

And plus DMC style system > DmC stance system.

As a game, I think DmC will be fantastic. A lot of great animation quality, incredible environments the likes of which are usually end-game set pieces, intriguing story, and of course DAT GAMEPLAY. The fact that it's tied to one of my favorite gaming franchises is just icing on the already bitchin' cake this game is to me.

As an entry to the DMC series, I think it'll do okay. I have hopes that it will revitalize the series a bit, get more people interested in a sequel to this, as well as looking into the HD Collection, and increasing interest in the classics too. I'd love for nothing more than both DMC and DmC to develop more games for both sides of the crowd.

People will **** on it no matter what because of what it's not and what it is, but...first and foremost and game has to be entertaining, and going into the game without expecting it to be something that you want it to be, you'll be able to find enjoyment out of it.

DMC5 will not be great because of a general lack of creativity when it comes to the enemies as the small time enemies in DMC from the second one to the fourth were very generic and the environments were becoming mostly bland or uninteresting. When I say "imagine a demon" you wouldn't think of the design Ninja have gone with - at least before seeing the new DmC anyway I love the old series don't get me wrong but the 4th made the series less interesting as the usuall had decent stories but with DMC 4 it was just made for the sake of it really. A fifth DMC could be good but not nearly as good as a DmC2 as the rebirth's sequal would likely retain the aspect of limbo and therefore more imaginative environments... I may have gone too far in saying it'd be awful but it wouldn't be a DMC3 and would just be a worse version of 4 in my opinion and Capcom were becoming less imaginative in terms of enemy design game after game. In DMC 1 for example you have the Nobodies which hadn't been thought of before in terms of that design and so were original and creative! When you look at the hell vanguard etc from DMC3 they are standard gouls with a face like the scream mask so that made them generic and I was cool with that but by DMC4 I wanted more fresh and original enemies but they just gave me more generic ones!! I suppose it won't be terrible but as I said before it wouldn't be as cool as a DmC 2 in my opinion although I can respect that you disagree

Also I definitely would buy a DMC5 but I'd prefer next DmC. Also although the style system was good I generally just picked the one which I could get a high rank easily with upon third play through whereas the stance system encourages you to use everything and has relevence to the story

DmC took the crazy, underworld hallways we normally see at the end of a DMC game and put them all throughout the whole story. It'll be difficult for a DMC5 to go back to boring static hallways after that...

The only way they could do it is if they once again emphasized exploration like they did with DMC1 and its roots in Resident Evil.

And the Style system is great, but it was clunky in DMC4, and after having access to so much in DmC, will people be willing to go back to a "pick one" system a la DMC3?
