DmC Will Be In Captivate 2012

A logo is not about looking professional, it's about visual identity. It is there to show the who and what about the company, so when people see it, they can remember who or what it represents. The reason I don't think this is the best of logos is because I used to mix up Ninja Theory and Team Ninja until I learned the difference.

Aren't they working on the game, it would be logical that they hang it in a banner of some form

I would rather have gameplay trailers that convince me to buy the game, rather than story trailers that spoil it for me.
 
Who ****ing cares? No offense, but come on guys! Look at Capcom's logo, it's just a yellow and blue title that says "Capcom".
 
Logo and Branding is hard but that level of quality for a logo is beneath them, they should be able to make something more elegant. Look at other video game companies, by contrast they are all rather elegant, and so are the logos for most every game, even their's. But I think we are getting way off subject so HEY CAPTIVATE, just 6 days to go!!!!
 
Ok NT will be their but does that mean they'll show off DmC? I didn't see anything on that Twitter account that assured us of DmC footage.

As a company grow, their logo tend to grow with them. If/When Ninja Theory becomes a big baddy in the gaming world, their logo will probably be changed to reflect that. An example of that is Apple's logo. It used to be all rainbow coloured, but now it is much simpler looking, yet it has maintained its shape.
It isn't necessary though. There are many logos which are kinda ugly looking, such as the Playstation logo, but it has become a symbol of recognition and it would be too bad to change it. Same with Capcom's, it's just their name spelled out in blue and yellow, nothing fancy or stylish, but it is easy to recognise and has been like that since the beginning.

The quality of a logo does not go by how it looks, but in how it is recognised.

Why would they be there if there weren't going to show anything Devil May Cry related?
