DmC will be at PAX 2012

They could show the Hunter Demon boss.

I still want to know why they keep showing stages from HALF of the game, instead of shwoing the first stages, lol. The carnival pier is the first mission and it has a boss. Hopefully, they'll show it.

As for bosses, there won't be a lot of them in the game, I believe.
Well they showed a small amount of the pier level in the captivate trailer and a little segment of it in the Bob Barbas fight.
I also would like to see more of the Hunter Demon.

BOB!!?? Screw that, I wanna see something new.

They might show that giant demon that went around smacking buildings.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!

I hope there is more than DMC1 & DMC4 & has a lot of boss battles....DMC games tend to have like 13-15 boss fights at least.

Its like this.

DMC1 had 5 bosses that you fought 3 times each....well Mundus was special...you fought him 2 times in the same mission and the 3rd fight is a watered down very easy version to the point its more of a cinematic bonus than a boss fight so I say it was like 14 & 1/2 boss fights. 14 boss fights (15 if you wanna be a nark about it) out of 5 bosses.

DMC2...well the Lucia & Dante disk confused stuff but just counting Dante....he had like 15 boss fights with 12-13 bosses...Lucia I think had less like 11 boss fights with 9-10 bosses.....I think and yes I count even multipart final boss fights if they have a very different form and shape as its own boss and boss battle and those DMC2 bosses had long health bars.

DMC3 is where the multipart final boss fights stopped....it had (counting even mini-bosses since they were part of the revived boss section of Mission 18) like 14 boss fights (not counting the revived bosses in mission 18 but that would be like 9 boss fights in that one mission making it 23 boss fights...well at max since you only really needed to beat some of those bosses in mission 18 to advance and no I don't count the battle with all of Damned Chessman as boss fight just a large group of challenging enemies)......now Jester is a bonus boss that wasn't supposed to be there but added to Special Edition as bonus and skipable boss whose fight has no relevance to the story but since he is still a boss and very relevant character I still count him as "plus" so DMC3 has 12 bosses(including Vergil as one boss) + 1 Jester...so 13 bosses but it has 14 boss fights + 9 for mission 18 + 3 Jester fights so like 26 boss fights know what I'll separate mission 18 from the herd and Jester so 14 boss fights & gets to refight 9 of the bosses but not all of them is needed so that is a wild card and DMC3 at first never had Jester's 3 boss fights as a boss and his fights are optional and skip-able. Pretty hard to say really...probably the most boss fights in all DMC games and

DMC4...whew..had 9 bosses (if the containment room/Agnus first encounter counts as a boss.....hmm...fine...I mean its kinda like fighting Nightmare and if the Damned Chessman had a different fight pattern and had a health bar it would've been qualified as a boss plus on harder difficulties I think Agnus summons higher leveled demons and he in his human form is listed as a boss in the DMC4 enemy files so yeah 9 bosses & NO Dagon & Bael are not different bosses they're the same) and False Savoir is still the Savoir....so lets see you fight Dante & Sanctus twice(4), Angelo Credo & Agnus once(2), fight Angelo Agnus, Echinda, Berial, & Bael/Dagon three times(12), and the Savoir really once as Dante since the one with Nero at the end is just an ending gimmick or cinematic finisher or event like Mundus battle 3 so like 1 1/2. NO the Angelo's don't count...I put them on the same league as the Damned Chessman. So like 19 1/2 boss fights pretty close to 20. 19 boss fights (actually) with 9 bosses.

IMO DmC has to surpass DMC4 in the boss department...even if they can't create quality bosses and boss fights from DMC4 (can't blame them when bosses like Dante & Credo are hard to beat in the badass factor) but they can at least have more bosses and possibly boss fights than DMC4. Anything above 10 bosses is fine by me and anything around 20 (if not over 20) boss fights is pretty damn awesome.

DmC can go without a mission where you have to fight all of the bosses over again and it'll be fine but DMC1 & DMC2 though they didn't do that did something else just as good (with DMC1 if you were devoured by Nightmare to escape his nightmare realm you had to face one of the 3 previous bosses to get out and for DMC2 the final boss for Dante first form was composed a lot of the bosses you fought before so its like fighting every boss but in one) so yeah be creative DmC.

What makes you say that?

Well...possibly it is because most people speculate because raiding government facilities is the goal of the game, they think they can't have enough bosses and maps.
Which proves wrong as any demon could drag you into limbo anytime or fix you into a TV screen like bob.

Yeah, but this is DmC and not previous games...

I think they're trying to do something different regarding bosses.

In DmC, it seems we won't have a ton of them, but there should be good ones, instead.

Hunter Demon- Mission 1

Poison battle

Bob Barbas

I'm assuming both Lilith and Mundus will come as final bosses.

Maybe Vergil could be another boss.

During the Vergil reveal trailer, you could see a giant creature destroying building and so on.

So, we would have at least 7 boss battles. Not bad at all.

BULLSH*T!!!!

This is still DEVIL MAY CRY......with the same weapons, same names, same moves, same gameplay, same stylish combat, same ranking system, the same DMC mission layout, and AUUUGGGGPPPPPHHHHH same battle mechanics but only a different story......having at least 7 boss battles is sh*t in my opinion for any game. Bayonetta had a pretty crap boss battle layout with like 10 something boss fights with like 7 bosses but bosses made up for it in quality and some boss fights were pretty damn amazing.

7 bosses...seems alright.....but 7 boss battles only.....as long as the boss fights are quite memorable and amazingly done which I don't see in Poison and Bob.

Why didn't you like the Poison battle?

I think the Bob battle is heavily edited, though. It was really easy in that trailer.

Maybe there are more bosses that you can face several times during the game OR a mission where you have to defeat all of them again.

I agree with most of this. DmC is based on previous DMCs so i would think boss fights would part of the "DMC DNA" they mention over and over again. I cant judge the boss battles shown since ive never watched a boss fight and thought it was amazing, i have to experience it myself.

Just because we've only seen 7 potential boss battles, doesn't mean that's how there. Why would the unveil everything? That would be ridiculous!

Its like this my good sir.

Revealing a lot can work many ways.

IMO if you reveal a lot you have more in store thus forth there is a lot, if you reveal very little that could mean that there isn't much to reveal.

Its like I have a lot of cupcakes...I would share a lot because there would still be plenty more but for someone who has very little they wouldn't share as much as compared to someone to who barely has a lot to spare.

Or you can reveal the entire thing like DMC4 did...DMC4 in its last trailer showed off well everything (it basically just didn't show the Sanctus Boss Fights) and DMC4 didn't have a lot in the game itself.

Wait, we've seen only three confirmed bosses (Mundus and Vergil don't count yet) and about five stages so far.
