DmC weapons

Don't Let the Fall of America be Your Fall
If I remember right, Tameen said that there would be a number of seven more weapons besides Rebellion, Arbither and Osiris. Plus two more sets of guns besides Ebony and Ivory. However something confuses me;

When Tameen said seven more weapons, did he mean seven more for each trigger.

Angel:7
Demon:7
Guns:2

Can anyone help me out on this?

lol, I guess that kills my theory of having 6 weapons and 6 guns.

But having 7 for each is A LOT. That's... what? Seven more than what we already have for each mode sums it up to about 17 weapons!? There is no way to go through those without some sort of "cycling" or what DMC3 did and equip them.

I don't think he ever said there'd be 7 more weapons. He may have said there would be "several" more angel and demon weapons, though.

Guess that's why Tameen said "This may be the toughest Devil May Cry game in the series."

Not cause of the enemies but because you're gonna have total parkinsons while figuring out which buttons do which!:D

i think he said several tbh even if he did say 7 that could mean

Angel:4
Demon:4
Guns:2 (if ebony and ivory are classed as one gun weapon)

total ebony&ivory,osiris,arbither +seven new ones

lol So much for newcomer friendly... no, scratch that, so much for "anyone" friendly XD

The whole system seems a bit up in the air for me, it's as if they haven't even fully developed it yet and have only centered it around just those three weapons, the whips, and E&I. I understand the dodge with RB (it's kinda like the trickster style where you press one button and you dash) but I've been looking closely and the targeting system is... weird.

Usually, you would think an automatic targeting system would keep track of whichever enemy is closest, or whichever enemy you are facing. But I saw in the demo that Dante was attacking a demon ridiculously far away even though another got in the way, was closer to Dante, and was facing in the same direction. Like the enemy had been "tagged" somehow... which can only be done by pressing a button...

perhaps theres tag that can be auto/manual. aaand asuming the combat is still being polished off, they may have not added a marker to show whats tagged, or the marker itself can be toggled. hence why it doesnt show up

maybe the plan to DMC3 styled switching. you pick two swords and 2 guns. Now in DmC that would mean 2 weapons, if angel and demon weapons are locked into weapons, are actually 4; That would be a huge leap over the DMC3 style, a better improvement then what DMC4 did. The only trouble with this is that'll be alot of combos to remember :w00t:.

No matter how many core weapons are in the game there will always double it because of the demon and angel trigger. so they could add say 3 new guns and 3 swords we'd still get 12 new weapons.

Back on topic though. they could also try making it so you can choose your base weapon and sub weapons, angel and demon triggers, at free will before each mission but instead of 2 swords you'll only use one going into combat and E&I. Again it seems with the type of style of gameplay NT is adding the possibilities are endless this goes to show just how deep the demon and angel triggers are.

All and all;

Fans: "This game seems to simple to even play. Thus this game will be seriously easy!"

I think you'll chose between weapons individiually for each type (regular, angelic and demonic), but I hope I'm wrong and in fact you have presets mapped to your d-pad, and each preset will have regular, angelic and demonic weapons. So you'd have 9 weapons at the same time, since I guess they'd spare one button on the d-pad to cycle through guns. It would be so much more practical than pressing the d-pad several times left to get to the angelic weapon you want. Just hold LT and press a d-pad button and there you go.

If I'm not mistaken it shouldn't be seven total, your supposed to have acces to all from the D-pad. Up, left and right each get one weapon assigned and each weapon has 3 stances plus the one set of fire arms that has multiple uses.

He could be refering to the weapon shapes.
Think about this: The weapon might change depending on your form, so we still have the original set mentioned, but the look changes, making it a "New Weapon". This might be it.....

Are you saying Rebellion's angel form is Osiris and its demon form is Arbiter? I can see that happening also.
