Prepare another fistbump(what ever that is) because I'm also one of those who prefer DMC2 outfit for Dante. All he needs is DMC1 personality with some quotes as cool as

King? Here's you're crown.

and he would be perfect.

As for Sparda's outfit, I've never really liked it. The whole 17th century royal garments just doesn't fit him, considering Dante's and Vergil's styles. I had hoped for something cooler... And the monocle is just ridiculous.

But yeah, it's a matter of personal taste.

Since DMC1 intro stated that he quietly ruled the human world, I would guess he needed royal clothes for his human form to fit as a ruler. Also, it's still better than DMC3 Dante outfit with the strap on his chest or DMC4 Dante's cowboy pants.

These DLC are mostly based around popularity.

If this Dante has not even been established yet nor have a big fan following than why would Capcom even consider adding him as a costume?

Yea Mega man did get alot of support.

But so did Mega man Legends 3.

And you know what Capcom did to that?

CANCELED IT.

I don't think Mega man not being included had anything to do with him being popular or not. It most likely had to do with Capcom just not backing megaman as of late. I bet if it had beein any other character who had that much backing to become a DLC than they most likely would have made it in.

But not megaman.

Dante already got Sparda as alt costume, but maybe in the next batch. ^^
It would be good for the publicity for the new Devil May Cry game. Marvel VS Capcom 3 players would be all like; Who's that?! Why does Dante look like that? - and then maybe look into it on the internet and learn more of the new Dante and the new game coming up.

They must really be confident in the reboot. With the amount of exposure its getting, it'll draw some attention, and some possibly some confusion.
