HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Solid could sense something in this new city. Something strangely familiar, something like him.
'A wolf perhaps?' Solid thought to himself cautiously. He had believed they were all dead besides himself. At least that's what his mother told him, anyway. Then the young wolf decided to find this someone or something that made his senses spur. The thought of there being another wolf in his pack long since thought to have been wiped out excited him secretly. It also made him worry.

"It seems that my shopping will have to wait for now..." He muttered to himself in search of the other wolf.

As much as Solid tried not to draw attention to himself, he found it rather difficult. He was carrying a large sword wrapped in a leather casing with sealing runes etched into them. This was to seal the tremendous demonic power in his blade locked within, and to keep those other than himself from taking it.

Treading past a hooded man made his senses wild. It was as though a bodily alarm went off inside of him, warning him that this was no ordinary man. It was indeed a wolf as he thought, though something was different about him. Something very strange about his scent.

Tyther hated chores. Of course, with his mother's constant nagging, there really was no choice. 'If only Lunos was here.' He thought. Then, he stopped in his tracks. Something smelled... Off. Really off. It smelled strangely like him, but different in it's pungency. 'Oh, what NOW?' He thought again. He turned around, but no one was there. A soft breeze blew, and his hood nearly blew off. He grabbed it with a gloved hand, making sure that no one saw what he truly looked like. "I hope no one saw that..." He said softly to himself.

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Solid stopped completely when he passed the man. His face serious and cold, as his father's before him. His long black hair blew up in the sudden breeze. With a sudden turn of his head he called to the unknown man.

"You smell of wolves... who are you?!" he said calmly yet with a hint of anger in his voice.

Solid had one nasty temper once angered, and unbeknownst to him he was becoming more so by the second. For as soon as he had gotten close enough, he could smell human blood. 'He wreaked of wolves and humans!' the young wolf thought to himself. He was agitated at the sight he beheld when the wind blew the strangers hood. '...and FUR!' Solid said in thought. It was like a roller-coaster of emotion ran through him. He usually didn't and he then tried to control it, for he knew his mother wouldn't approve of human actions as such.

Tyther twitched, then turned around again. "Wh-what? How did you... Wait... You're the one I smelled before." He looked around for a second before walking forward and removing one glove, revealing a hairy but overall human looking hand. "Are you like me, or are you something more?" He continued walking forward until he was standing right in front of the other. They were around the same height. He looked around again, taking a deep smell to make sure no one was around. Slowly, he removed his hood, revealing a wolf's head. "Who are you?" He asked patiently.

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
He looked at the wolf-man with a look of awe in his eyes. "My name is Solid, after my father Solidus...
I am The last of the remaining male of Solidus' wolf pack." he said coldly. He observed the wolf-man, wondering why he smelled like him. 'Who is this man?' he wondered to himself.

"You're human... you wreak of the infernal creatures." Solid uttered in a proud tone. "Why is this so? Ah... there is only one answer of course. You're a half-breed correct?" Solid addressed the half-wolf with an irritated tone. He was actually offended that one of his pack mated with a human. '...But who..?" he thought.

"What is your name, and who is your father... do you even know?"

Tyther looked at his feet. "My name's Tyther, and no, I don't know my father. He left before I was born. My mother says that he was a good man, though." Tyther stepped back. This man smelled of anger, hate, and wolves. He smelled suspiciously like himself. "And humans are better than you think. Just because someone is weak does not mean they don't deserve to live. Strength isn't everything. Whoever told you that is too full of themselves to see the truth." He sighed and looked to the stars. "What is it about the stars that seems so... Magical? Ah, I'm sorry, I'm going off topic. Now, is that all you needed to know?"

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Solid sighed deeply and looked to the wolf. "You are obviously of my bloodline... the color of your fur says as much. But your blabbering is distasteful..." he said in a calm voice, his eyes showing nothing but the cold blue ice color, which their hues mimicked. "Maybe your skills in battle, perhaps, can tell me what I truly need to know!" he called in a mocking voice.

Solid grabbed the hilt of his sword, forcing the sealing wrapping from the blade. The Devil Arm was rather large, and almost appeared to be made of stone, by its sharpness was obviously of some demonic metals. Raising the blade with one hand seemed to be effortless for Solid, only foreshadowing his immense yet still growing power. With a slight motion of his elbow and wrist Solid ****ed the blade back, then hurled it towards the fellow wolf as though it were a boomerang.

Tyther expected as much from this guy. It's always kill if you don't hear what you want with these guys. 'Mom told me never to use this unless it was an emergency...' He thought. 'This seems to call for it.' He drew his own blade, forged himself, and struck the advancing Devil Arm away. "You know, I really didn't want it to come to this, but alas, you have forced my hand." Tyther charged forward and grabbed Solid by the throat, making sure not to squeeze too hard. "Look, I know you want to fight, but I'm really not in the mood right now, so call your sword back and let's call it even."

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Solid smirked and forced a fist into Tyther's stomach, making sure to use as much force as possible. Solid's Devil Arm then changes somewhat, the eyes on the wolf head etching on the hilt glow their sapphire blue, and a voice begins to speak loudly and clear. It's voice speaks casually and of disappointment

Leigus: Solid... You have been outdone by a mere half-breed? You weakling, you are unworthy of my power, you are unworthy of my strength unlike your father...

Solid look at Leigus with a look of anger and resentment, what his own sword had said angered him. How it compared him as nothing of an equal to his father angered him even more so.

"I am not worthy?! No, you aren't worthy to be wielded by such a great demon as I, now return servant!" he said utterly ticked off. With the command the sword jolted from the ground and spun towards Solid, as the hilt grew close enough to reach he grabbed it quickly.

"You, half demon... You are also unworthy... Unworthy of my blade gracing your body by tasting your blood." he said mockingly. Motioning him to follow. "Rest assured, my mother will find out of which blood you were birthed. Now come."

Tyther got up defiantly, coughing up a small amount of blood as he did. He quickly wiped it off his chin and walked up to Solid with a smirk. "Am I gonna get beat up some more if I don't come with?" He looked at Solid a short while and said, "What? It was a joke. Don't you have jokes where you come from?" He sighed. "Yes, I'll come with you. Why are you always so serious? Do you even know how to smile?"

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Solid sighed then began to walk in the direction of a small inn, which read: 'Wolf-Haven Inn'. (Obviously to them much more than an odd name for an Inn.

"Put your hood back on, before you attract unwanted attention. My mother and I are passing as humans at the time being, I am searching for a hunter who has followed us here." he said coldly, completely disregarding Tyther's remarks.

"But finding out your heritage comes first. My mother is very passionate about finding our kind. We are a rare sight you know." he said with a smirk. "We're extinct..."

Tyther put his hood back on, again bathing his face in shadow. He also replaced the glove on his hand. "You can't say you're extinct when you're still alive. You can't give up hope, no matter how faint that hope may be." Tyther looked again at the sign that displayed the inn's name. "How ironic, yet somehow, I think it's appropriate." He looked back at Solid. "What is your mother like? Nothing like mine, I imagine."

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
He thought about the question presented to him, wondering himself how she really was. Thinking for a moment he answered simply, "A cold, emotionless, Wolf... how I should be, how we all should be. For we are killers you know. Probably the most equipped for killing actually." Solid looked to Inn once more, and sighed. "Wolf-Haven... it holds more dogs than wolves... dogs... our dirty, backwards cousins. They do us no justice." Solid said coldly.

He then looked at Tyther with a look of disbelief. "Don't you have a form, ore suitable for human presence?" Solid wondered why he hadn't reverted to his human form yet, hoping that he had a human form.

Tyther again looked at his feet. "You wish. I've been stuck like this ever since I was ten. My mother told me it was permanent and that I should embrace it, but how can I embrace it when everyone is afraid of me? Unlike you, I hold no desire to kill those weaker than I. It's simply not right. But even though I'm stuck like this, I still choose to live as a human. You may not know why, hell, I don't even know myself, but that's what I've chosen." He turned toward the key rack. "Now, which one is your room?"

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Solid laughed, louder than he thought, laughed at Tyther's statement. "I think I can help, it may not be permanent. But im sure that the same seal used to keep my swords power under wrap's can keep the demon in you, from being seen. Although of course, in your new 'Human' form you will lose most of your power. How do you think I have managed my demon form?" he said with a laugh as he opened the door to their room. It was larger than it looked from the outside, almost like a large living room of sorts. There sat his mother, sleeping in her indian style position as she always did, as Solid called to her one eye opened and the door shut. Her cold yet beautiful eyes stared upon Tyther, she was fixated on him smelling wolf in his blood along with human, as Solid did.

"Greetings young wolf, I am Felicia." his mother said with a facade of kindness, along with a forced smile. Although her gestures were that of a kind woman, and beautiful woman. Her eyes, they told the truth, about her being. As beautiful as they were, they held a great amount of evil behind them.

She stood up and gestured for the both of them to take a seat.

Tyther took a seat, cautiously. He could sense the evil in this woman. He could smell it on her form and see it in her eyes. But until he discovered a motive, it was best to play dumb. He looked at Solid, but found no answer in his returning gaze. With a sigh, he averted his eyes back to Felicia.

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
She made a slight hand motion and the half-wolf's hood was blown by a gust of wind. She smiled, then gasped in amazement at what she saw. He reminded her of Solidus. HIs appearance was similar but distorted. He was too humanoid for her to say for sure but she knew he was connected to her son in some way.

"Solid..." Felicia said alarmingly calm. Solid expected for her to be angry with him for bringing a half-demon to their home. He knew how she disliked them so, she referred to them as 'abominations'. Solid answered quickly and with a slight gaze at Tyther.

"What is it that you need?" he said directly, sounding a bit pressing, a hint of attitude in his voice. Secretly he loathed how his mother tormented him, claiming he was nothing to her. Even to a demon, motherly problems had effects.

Tyther watched as the two looked at each other. He could sense something seething between the two, but he couldn't find out what. His mind was on a more pressing matter. It was the way Felicia had looked at him. She looked at him so weirdly. Like he looked familiar, but different. He sat back slowly, wondering what exactly he'd gotten himself into, and what exactly his own mother would be saying when he got home. IF he ever got home.

HQQR - Solid

THE AWESOME
Felicia scolded Tyther then looked seriously back at her son. "It looks as though your father... had another son." Solid's eyes lit up at the idea that Tyther could be his brother. He wasn't angered by the thought. Just... puzzled. He was simply amazed that his father was the one who took an interest in humans. "My father? Mate with a human?! Hah! Unlikely, to say the least. Solid looked at Tyhter in disbelief. He couldn't accept it. No, more like he wouldn't.

"It has to be true, he is of our pack... he resembles your father, even your true form! He is your kin." said the cold woman. Her icy blue hues meting with Solid's. They stared at each other for seconds at least. Before a small sigh exited Felicia's lips. "No need to believe me, my son. But you in your heart of hearts... of course know it to be true."

Tyther blinked and then nearly froze. 'This guy's my half-brother? Great, I'm related to a demon! And if my father is his father, then...' He got up. "If my father is your father, then Solidus is my father, correct? But when my mother talked about him, she always used the name Leigus. Does this hold any significance, or is it just a name?" He looked Felicia in the eyes and then turned away. The evil in them seemed to be seething, just out of reach, but seething nonetheless.
