Pretty good considering, though not that great.

Who do they listen to for feedback? Basically Gamefaqs DmC board is basically people just bashing it, NeoGAF you have people make one post about how good it is and disappear leaving behind people who don't like to voice their concerns again and again same thing with IGN. All other gaming sections of other boards basically say they enjoyed and don't have anything further to say.

People on Gamefaqs suck...........them bastards don't have good taste and the gall to say Anarchy Reigns is a bad game....they should suck my nuts for that comment.

i don't think anarchy reigns is anything about just average

That's not good really. 3 of those games above it were released in what November? DmC was the only new AAA title released in January so this is bad..
Not at all considering how big the shooter market is compared to ever other genre ever this day and age. It's amazing to see a hack n slash game on that list period. Plus when you think about it, this was a January release. January is a month that is usually a drought for games since most companies push to get their games out by Christmas time anyway. DmC was like the only freaking game to even come out that was on anybody's radar basically.

To be honest, I haven't tried it yet. It looks kinda interesting though, but I've never tried Madworld, so not sure if I should try that first... it just never caught my interest.

It really isn't like MadWorld....granted it has some small gameplay mechanics from MadWorld like jamming street signs into people's heads and catching them with a car tire but they removed all of the black and white, extremely gory and bloody, sadistic, comical, psychotic, and whimsical aspect of MadWorld plus the gameplay is drastically different. Consider Anarchy Reigns as a more serious, tamed version of Mad World but in color with better gameplay and online.

Gameplay is like DmC/MGR mixed with some shooter elements but its an overall 3D brawler/beat em up like Power Stones......just really mature and more expansive....online is its best feature....offline campaign....an hit and miss...it is fun at first but gets tedious until after you beat it and can play all the missions again on any difficulty with any character. But online....MAN it can get crazily hectic and chaotically fun.......if you can find match that is. Due to its low 360 sales the online community is small while the PS3 version sold well that its easier to find online matches there.

But that's the point of debuting in January to have little to no competition. All those other games were released before Christmas, and some even before black Friday, so their sales should be low. So if DmC can only get 6th in the month it's released as the only new AAA title that's not good. DMC4 was 1st when it debuted January.

or you could not be a pessimist about it and let us be happy that i was in the top ten

I must say 6th place isn't that bad seeing as all the "hate" that is being spewed about it. I guess there isn't as much dislike for it then huh or it would be in much less of a rank. Like others have said it is one of the if not only AAA title on that list, even so not bad and nice to hear.

I don't care about DMC 4. That game was like Spider-Man 3, made money but was still just terrible and a major disappointment. I pretend it doesn't exist.

the market was completly different in the DMC4 era. also BO2 and any COD will continue to sell until the summer or so, Far Cry 3 is probably gonna get GOTY, and Halo 4 is Halo 4. its always good when any game in such a niche genre can compete with big time FPS games in terms of sales. i hope it doesnt sound like im just making excuses.

It does because all these games have been on the market for 2-3 months (except Far Cry 3). No way should post holiday sales for these games be beating a newly released game so much as to make it 6 (but w/eeeeeeeee).

But anyway just heard a rumor on Neogaf that DmC sales are less than 200k (for January). Oh booy...
