DmC Screamo?

In a recent interview one of the DmC staff discussed music and how the higher up the ranks you go the more layers there are to the music, and "the screaming will kick in"

Seriously? Does this mean Screamo music? (Where musicians scream down the microphone, ala most of Slipknot and Madvyne) Because if it is, im gonna be ****ed and that'll be the final nail in the coffin for me.
 
well i don't think they necessarily mean screamo music, i think they were giving an example. he was meaning vocals, and by the way the music in dmc4 and dmc3 was basically screamo; vocals and most of the time there was screaming, so yeah lol
 
The lyrics actually kill music for me... Whatever happened to video game music that was just a simple, catchy tune?

But I digress.

its having money and giving people a chance. I like lyrics in my music, especially in dmc. Most of the time i couldnt understand it, like as much as i understand about this thread. DmC has out of all the other games, a singer with a melody. I doubt thats the extent of the music though. It seems like NT is trying to make the music a special part of the game like never before seen, in any game.

oh yea, just bought batman and ya kno its made with unreals engine right, well... it looks beautiful =D
 
im pretty sure this thread was created just out of hate for screamo music, i mean screamo is apart of devil may cry, that's one thing that makes people like it
 
which is why i dunno if this guy has ever liked dmc. Its always sounded this way and why now after 5 games would you be upset about it

Oh, I actually really like DmC's music so far. I just don't like the music of 3 and 4 for the most part. But that isn't a gamebreaker for me.
 
DmC music so far is great.and if u dont like screamo then how did u like the other games they had screamo music aswell.and the screams kicking in between the music is awesome this will be something new.
 
i don't believe they've given out the name for the song because i've looked for it everywhere, i think its an exclusive song for the game, so maybe we will find out when the game comes out possibly a soundtrack? :)
 
i know i feel your pain :(, i think its funny how this thread started out hating the music, and now we're promoting the music lol
 
I've never thought the DMC songs where Screamo necessarily, TBH the only Screamo(ish) part of any DMC song I can think of is in Devils Never Cry when the lyrics are "the eye can see" all the other parts and songs like Divine Hate and Never Surrender didn't have any screaming parts and were just sung normally.
 
Screamo?, Industrial Hardcore?........HELL YEAH!!

The idea of boycotting the franchise because of the music is just ridiculous but it's your call and if you didn't notice every game had a "Screamo" part in it.
