since i have a huge contribution to the DMC4 hints thread i decides to make this one.As the title suggest this is an open thread for people to add tips that will help people new to the game

i will start it off

Dream runners

keep your distance from them when they teleport out then stand still. You will hear an audio que when they are gona reappear, attack just as they exit there portal and you will parry stun them. You can then hit them 5 or 6 times and if your last hit is a knockback you can shoot them with the shotgun as they fly back or grapple them for another hit.

Witches projectiles can be sent back with osiris using prop or shredder

however if you throw an aquila blade at them it destroys them too.

Butchers blades can also be sent back using osiris

The hunter and succubus and mundus spawns swipe attacks can be parried with rebellion, you need to time it just before the attack is gona attack. This stuns them leaving them open to attacks.

mundis spawns disco ball projectile can be hit back too , as can the hunters claw

-With witches, you can get rid of their shield faster by attacking another enemy and forcing it to shield it, and throwing back its spears it conjures up using the demon pull+ kick. It can break a shield fast, and even render the witch stunned.

-With butchers, I say counter their throwing saws and then get them airborne with a charged eryx uppercut while they're stunned.

-Dream runners are open for a counter with Rebellion, or any weapon really, after popping out from a teleport. Time it just right and hit them as they're jumping at you. You now have an opening for some damage, but it will eventually counter back. He can hit projectiles back at you, so don't be so eager to throw Aquila or the Arbiter at it. You'll find yourself eating your own attack. Do it only when you have an opening. Unless you wanna play some tennis with him. Then, just make sure you counter it back and keep it going.

The butchers are completely defencless if there airborne, as.chancey said a charged eryx uppercut or dt'ing can get him airborne then keep attacking with rebellion and use osiris rake move to keep him in the air

when his chest is red let him drop and he will explode

normal rages have a pattern

when there in normal mode they do a jumping strike, a claw attack a dash attack or a projectile , the angel and demon versions are the same minus the projectile

when they are in rage mode they curl up and spin at you twice, after the second spin they do one claw attack before you can attack them with either angelic or demonic weapons

The best strategy is to launch them and attack them in the air , the arbiter does more damage against demon ones while osiris damages angel ones more

if you fight one of each type then stun lock the angelic one in place with an aquila blade while you take care of the other one

When playing on higher difficulties, it is better to take out aerial enemies like harpies and take out witches or dream runners first

otherwise they can damage you from off screen while you attack other enemies

With kablooy, depending on the direction the enemy is standing will determine the direction it will explode towards. If they face in front of you, they'll explode away from you. If they face away from you, they'll explode towards you.

expanding on what DM said , kablooey cam take out other enemies around the explosion if used right
I like how you can incorporate outside factors for extra damage. Like using the environment and Kablooey blast radius.

I like to stick one demon full of the Kablooey things and then use my demon pull to kick it back in between a group of demons. Detonate, and they all go up.

-One more thing about the butchers some may not know, you can knock him down on the ground by doing an Eryx charged down punch. You have to jump and start charging when you're level with the weak point, if successful, he'll be knocked on his ass.

You can also demon pull stygians into the path of butchers blades

you can parry the hunters blade that he spins and throws at you , it hits him knocking him instantly.

If you find yourself under a lot of pressure you can also demon pull enemies off ledges before gliding back in

An alternative way to knock the tanl guys that charge you is to fire kablooey's at the weak spot on it's back, detonating them will drop it on it's knee allowing you to attack

also use enemy attacks as friendly fire to hurt other enemies, it thins the ranks

To knock a tank out of it's DT, go behind it, use angel pull, and then use Eryx's charge punch to level three and it will send him flying into the air out of his DT. This gives you a small window to keep him up there though.
