i think alex is meaning she's not the MAIN BOSS as in mundus like the big antagonist.
he also says a little before, that this is a boss fight so i think he was meaning story wise she is a sub-boss.

wow if he is a sub boss and hes already a hand full with 3 bars life......so the main boss is going to be a CAT with 9 lifes??...

He said to "get to the end" which could mean the end of the level or the end of the game... or end of this part of the game. He did say it was a "Sub-boss" that you need to defeat to get to the "big dupper baddy."
So I don't... really know what he is trying to say. I bet its just the boss of this one level and then there will be another level with another big bad dude. Same as how old DMCs have done before. You fight a "sub-boss" at this one level and then in the next you fight the big guy, since you are in the same place.
