DmC E3 GameTrailers Interview

WAIT! 10 hours? Ehhhh...I don't know if DMC was always like that, but I like playing games that take a lot of time to tell a story (30+ hours). I was hoping DmC would do that differently...ah well. Still gonna enjoy it

ah don't worry i'm guessing ten hours would be the average playthrough, without dying and such.
but since i'm sure we will be dying (alot apparently, since people couldn't even get passed poison easily) i would at least up it to 13 hours. plus they have said there will be high replayability since we won't discover everything on the first playthrough, so i'm sure there will be more than 30+ hours worth of playtime. :)

DMC has never been a game renowned for its long stories. It's the replayability we're after.

the devil may cry games do lack in story like in the first one nelo angelo was dantes twin which left me with some quetions but 1 let 3 show a small part of the origins and the manga and novels explains ALOT more then the games that why i'm waiting for the devil may cry 4 novels because 4 let me confused

The series has always been like that. Sooo that means 10 hours of story and an extra 30+ for the secrets to find and other difficulties to play through.

I have 50+ hours just on DMC 4, so I guess I shouldn't worry xD But I was really hoping for a long, epic story. (Longer story, more levels?) Ahh well...still hyped for the game!

most hack and slash games are around 10-15 hours on an average player playthrough.

For me, i tend to walk alot, i mean, alot. As i like to marvel at everything in the game, its my way of paying respect for all the hard work that was put in. I search everything, hit everything, and just try to find cool things that game developers put in the game. So for me, it will take over 25 hours, for my first playthrough. If areas are accessable in earlier stages when you aquire new abilities, then i'll have to back track some. And also, i do some farming from time to time, especially if its a good farming ground.
Not to mention the bloody palace and sitting through the movie section. I think for someone like me to platinum DmC will take over70 hours

oh so you platinum-ed games before....
