DmC: Devil May Cry All the moves

I must admit, I had hoped for some kind of "Eleventh Hour Superpower" that we hadn't seen yet, like the Sparda sword in the original or suchlike, but even if there are only three different guns the arsenal seems pretty fun. I like the chakram move set, I just hope it doesn't pile on so much damage that enemies are constantly pushed away while the blades are circling you. That would blow.

Anyone else miss riding mooks around the arena like skateboards?

@ Macabre

Wide Area usually equals Low Damage, so, don't worry.

Oh, and refrain from using the word "mook", please. I know you meant it in an innocent way, and I know most people on here are actually a little young to know what it means (unless they've watched Eddie Murphy's "Raw" routine), but you should avoid using it, nonetheless.

Lol. Kind of reminds me of the time before white people learned what "skeet skeet" meant. :troll:

Can't wait to see all of Vergil's moves. Too bad he's not in Blood Palace. Waste of a good character. :(

Man there is simply no reason for twosome time and honeycomb fire to be gone. Considering the nerfed damage of E&I honeycomb fire would have been PERFECT. And it looks cool as hell.

I think when they said he isn't in Blood Palace they meant he isn't in Blood Palace if you don't have Vergil's Downfall. I'm not sure though, I'll have to tweet Ninja Theory about that.

Yeah, but judging from the demo the weapon balancing hasn't been very careful tweaked, so I remain cautiously apprehensive.

The status of the term as a slur is pretty outdated.

I mean if you are Italien yourself I could understand and I'll apologetically retract. It's a pretty common colloquialism nowadays. I'll use goon as long as that's okay.

And really? Was there a time when honkies didn't know what "skeet skeet" meant? I thought 'Lil jon made it pretty clear...

Anyway, looking at the finished article in the video I have to say I was hoping for more. Other than the chakrams there really doesn't seem to be anything profoundly original or exciting in the fighting styles available. I just hope that the monsters can lead to interesting divergent tactics to make the fights look more interesting.

Well, I for one actually love the Aquila. I think they're called "Glaives", though.

No, I have nothing against you using the word. I'm just saying "be careful". Doesn't matter to me, either way.

Thanks Squire.

Am I the only one that thinks that the names are a bit non-indicative? I know this has been a problem with the series as a whole (What in God's holy taint has Beowulf got to do with Light-Elemental Demon Gorrilas?), but just calling them "Eagle" in Latin doesn't seem very evocative to me. When I first saw Aquila it kind of made me think of the Angelic Halo being used as a weapon, which is a pretty damned cool idea, right up with Bayonetta using them as currency. What if they were called "Azrael" or "Dumah"?

...maybe I just miss Legacy of Kain...

I could have gone for more angel-named stuff, too. Like, the Osiris, what has that got to do with anything? Wouldn't "Azazel" or something have made more sense?

I myself would have gone with the name, "Azrael", but it was already taken, forcing me to improvise with my favorite color... :(
