DmC and DMC future.

I remember that DMC4 mainly ****ed me off because of how BAD the guns were, they didn't do crap unless you charged them.

I heard DMC4 was suppose to be a game that attracted more girls with it's love story, damsel in destress, a rebellious young bishonen male with a destiny, and the REAL protaganist that girls could go absolutely crazy over. (Dante)

Well, i dont see nothing bad in this :D This what really makes me frustrated is that whole plot holes which i hope will be filled in the future.

CAPCOM DOESN'T FILL IN PLOT HOLES!
ever since dmc1 there has been a consistent lack of effort to have any closure to anything dmc. There are still plenty of people mad about DMC2 and to just throw everything away like they did in dmc4 and try to shove a new main character down your throat, some people were a bit turned off. Sure its your intro to the franchise, but you gotta understand that Capcom will not make any attempt to fill any plot holes, EVER (well maybe, but its highly doubtful)

DmC is basically the same thing, except NT may be able to have a plan for the future and stay consistent, which is what they were hired for

EDIT: Dante dancing with flowers and reciting poetry, to me, is NOT DMC.

I personally feel like the original DMC series is dead. To me, the HD Collection is a eulogy to a beloved franchise and the pillow that suffocated it in its sleep was DMC 4 (no offense of course, but I didn't like the story at all :steve: I just play for the Bloody Palace with Dante).

DmC looks like it'll replace DMC just like Megaman X replaced the original series (and no I'm not considering Megaman 9 and 10). We'll probably just get DmC 2 and then 3 and then call it a trilogy and that's the end for Devil May Cry in general.

And then some other developer might just come in and create something similar to Devil May Cry (Platinum Games made Bayonetta, didn't they?).

So, no, I don't think DMC 5 is coming.

EDIT: And the plot holes are too wide to fill. It's like the Titanic. Once they hit the ice berg, it was just abandon ship and make a new one sometime later; hopefully it doesn't sink.

you clearly have never played Dead rising Case West IT filled in not only what happened to Frank West, but also what happened to Isabela Keyes.
Capcom didn't develop that, they just published and produced it. Like How NT is is developing DmC and Capcom is producing and publishing it.

Y'know I'm hoping the future of Devil May Cry has something like open world, that would be nice

Open world is just a very nice innovation to gaming

What I don't like about this reboot is it is trying to reanimate the dead, it is basically like helping up someone you just beat down, devil may cry 4 killed the series like robocop 2 killed the robocop franchise, stop trying to revitalize what you killed

An open world is compleatly incompatible with Devil May Cry. It would require massive changes to Devil May Cry's gameplay that in no way fit with the concept of a stylish action game.

The idea behind games like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta is to complete missions as quickly and stylishly as possible while avoiding damage and using as few items as possible to try to get a high rank with the end goal of getting the highest rank on every mission in every difficultly.

The idea behind open world games is to wander around finding things and helping people while occasionally continuing the story until you run out of things to do.

Both concepts can be very fun if done properly but they absolutely do not go together.

if they wanted to have a reboot they should have done it the right way. like the Fullmetal Alchemist animes were. they are very similar all the characters act the same, it manages to introduce new characters all the history is the same and that's what I think is important.

No If they are gonna reboot it, take lessons from Michael Bay, Take out everything that made it decent, and replace it with explosions

Perhaps, instead of a reboot, they degraded dante into a homeless guy in hiding, and he;s running from the law.
the worlds gonna be destroyed by some demon, and nero/lady/trish cant beat him. they track down dante, who is to drunk and homeless to care, and finally beat some sence into him. he puts on his coat and saves to world once again.
Dante being homeless=probably will happen because of his debt
Dante drinking problem=demons can hold their liquor, so more drinking for dante
Dante getting drunk= ass load of beer needed to be drunk...

it could happen...
