Did I miss any of Vergil's sheathing animations?

Hey guys,

When SamD was in the office, one of the things we chatted about was how cool it is that Vergil has so many different sheathing animations, depending on what move he last performed. I think it really speaks to the artistry and care put into DmC, so I made animated gifs!

Did I miss any? I heard murmurs of some sort of over-the-shoulder-and-behind-the-back one, but I can't recall seeing it or seem to recreate it. Anyway okay bye

I think you got 'em all. Always loved the last one where he sheathes it behind his waist, which is done from Helm Breaker. Probably the classiest of all those animations for me

Pretty sure you got them all. Little side note for the future though, don't forget to make sure the frames aren't too fast. :)

My favorite is the one behind his back too. :D

Nice, looks great at 60FPS! Looks like you got them all.
If anything, I wish DE would add DMC3 Vergil's ability to gain half a DT Orb/Meter whenever you let the sheathing animation play-out completely.

The little details like that really do great for the stylish nature of Devil May Cry. There's just more of a sense of satisfaction and coolness that goes with eliminating a big group of enemies and closing it all out with style.

I also love the little details made for Dante. The animations of his coat, and the way he slides his fingers across the wall if you angel glide too close to one.

Little stuff like that I appreciate even if others may not find that exciting.

Well, awesome! I love how they pay homage to old Vergil's sheathing movements, nice work

Can't edit my post anymore... however, just noticed, the sheathing behind the back vertically is missing, would be cool to have that as well, it's the more badass:

Also, the one in my signature would be awesome too

I forgot if waiting for the sheathing animation increases your Style in DmC.
No, it won't. :(

That's NT's version of a wall-run. That should've added a style-boost, as well. :(

I think a wall-slide looks cooler than a wall-run, anyway.

I don't care what people say... I think my western counterpart's katana is quite long enough, thank you.

He doesn't need to copy me down to the last detail, after all. NT Vergil can hold his own in battle.

Besides, they can always make it longer (through demonic transformation) in the sequel.

Anyone know what move(s) initiate the vertical behind-the-back one?

It's not triggered by a move, as far as I remember it's only present in Vergil's prologue in DMC3 SE. I was just expressing my wish it could be in the DmC DE somehow :D

Yeah. I could've sworn it was in DMC3. I haven't played Vergil in a while but I remember that animation.
