Devil Trigger

That would be pretty awesome.

But what I am thinking is that Vergil is the one who is going to be having an Angel Trigger of sorts. You can see how angel moves and stuff have this blue color about them while demonic stuff are all red. This might mean Dante is more demonic or he is becoming a demon while Vergil is on the other side, he becomes more angelic.

In past games, the reason why one was blue and the other red was because Sparda had this purple demonic powers. So both blue and red color powers of the brothers were demonic, indicating like a division of Sparda's powers between them. But now that the brothers have a demon father and an angel mother means that these two powers can be divided into those. So essentially, Vergil is more like Eva while Dante is more like Sparda... sort of speak.

No offence. Yours theory is good too :), Thinked similiary about that.

very nice theory angelmode :) i like it! i think that could be a great way to put conflict between the brothers, one an angel one a demon.

heres an idea im using what angelmode said. after what happened to Eva, Vergil hates demons. no surprise. but this time rather than wanting to become all powerful he wants to eradicate them all. he does so by foundin/joining the order and then so that they cant find him and through his own hatred. he tears his demon powers out of him. so now hes incomplete, but fully angelic. so after this he confronts dante and takes dantes angel powers from him. so now vergil is the ultimate angelic power. so dante has no choice but to find Vergils demon side and take it. then we have a massive confrontation where its demon vs angel.

im just suggesting this cause dante already has angel powers.so unless he looses them, we wont get our angel vs demon finale with the two brothers

Whole situation of Dante having two triggers reminded me one RP what I played with friends, and that was custom one about war in Heaven and hell. Only me had Half demon, half angel character, and as we had quests similiar to previous DMC games I had angel and demon Devil trigger. Of course I have still that RPG game and all its scenarios in one book.

Haha, thanks XD Just throwing ideas out there.

Hmm, that seems too complicated. It will also make Dante lose his angel powers, meaning you won't be able to use your angel weapons (angel mode) against Vergil. I think if Vergil goes evil and fights Dante in some sort of Angel Trigger form, he might use some demon powers as well, just like how Dante uses his angel ones.

The feeling I have for this game, overall, is a lot like Infamous or Infamous 2. You know how different your good and evil powers are, this is basically the same here. "Your demon dodge makes you stronger but your angel dodge makes you faster" sort of deal. The player (on their first or second playthrough) will buy the techniques he/she prefers, so at the end of the game you will have a more angelic Dante or a more Demonic one.

okay so basically everything 4chan said was true. well i was hoping they would keep the devil trigger on the L1/LB button since there is no need for two dodge buttons but oh well i guess. :P

another thing i should add, i am starting to believe more and more that dante will have an actual "demon" form. firstly because of the different faces on the HUD, and now i've snapped some pics of dante going into his devil trigger type state.

okay this first pic shows some type of energy running throughout dante's veins.

the next photo shows red energy that surrounds dante's body.

this just looks too intense and suspicious for dante to NOT go into a demon form!
well they already said that there will be a demon form later in the game :) so i think theres like this form and when u get stronger in the game you'll change into a demon form :)

lol yh i thought it was a lil complicated even when writing it. but back to topic. does anyone think there will be conflict in dante when using DT i mean it looks pretty strenuous on him when he activates it as he is part angel and his two powers could easily cancel eachother out. and does anyone think hell keep his white hair by the end of the game?

I actually believe his white hair is angelic in nature. So, if I am right, then yes there is some of his angel side showing up when he goes DT. This could also mean why Vergil is always with white hair, because he's more angelic.

that's what i'm thinking, i mean you can see a much more demonic(or possibly angelic) form of dante on the HUD when he goes into devil trigger. also in the e3 trailer when it shows him go into devil trigger it just really gives me the feel that he will hit demonic form before the game is over
Its possible, i think Tameem has said that they wanna show how he develops throughout the game. It wasnt said in those exact words though. So it makes sense that he wouldn't transform since he most likely doenst fully understand the power yet.

About the Angel Trigger it only makes sense for him to have one since he is 50/50 with demonic and angelic blood. I mean they even gave Dante angel and demon dodges.

Angel Dodge is epic btw. I can just image going into DT and instead of using the whip, just Angel evade to the other enemies.....droool........(i miss you trickster)

It's not even a DT that Dante is doing. Its just a burst of power, like kai ken. Until he can sustain that kind of power then he might ascend into a new form. Possibly a mix of them both. He is a freak right? So why not make him into a mixture of both sides

Well its still called DT and he might have a mixture of both and get an angelic demon form or it might just be called god mode lol
