Devil Trigger Shockwaves?

Well, instead of adding additional moves, it does something like quicksilver, and it renders the enemies immobile. Since it's easier to pull off interesting moves in DmC without knocking the character all the way back (a la DMC 3), you have absolute control over enemies in Devil Trigger.

So I guess getting an opportunity to really show off your favorite combos without any risk is what DmC offers instead of two or three extra moves. Oh, and flying around like a total badass.

So far as the moves/look not explaining his angelic side, I guess DMC 2 would be an even worse example (Lucia, a full-demon with angel wings). The 'angel' of death has a scythe, so I guess an angel doesn't have to appear heavenly.

Yeah but D.T. suppose to be like your bada** switch where you get to do crazy crap. Dante unleashing his demonic side shown in his appearance and change in style of attack gaining flight or shooting lightning as Chaser side. Slowing down time nice and all but its something a lot of games do now a days. DMC was known for transforming you into a Demon..god XD.

(Wasn't sure if I was allow to say you know by the way lol)

From the demo the boss didn't pose any kind of threat and I never once had to use D.T. even on SoS mode. Which I really hope the other bosses put up much more of a fight. Then again I may just be expecting too much as I am use to the insane boss battles DMD gives me lol.
Didnt say the bosses were hard just said that DT doesnt really change anything in the fight besides adding an angel lift point on some bosses.

Not true D.T. make your hits do way more damage. Again I'm going off the demo but even on SoS mode you do far too much damage when using D.T. which again may be because it suppose to be OP but still.

DT in DmC is both overpowered and useless at the same time. It sends all enemies in the air, gives Dante speed boost, damage boost and armor but also it is way to short to do actually anything useful with it.
Something can't be both overpowered and useless. Being overpowered implies that its use is extremely helpful to the point of being cheap, and the fact that DT regenerates health and launches some enemies for some unhindered assaults define its two main uses :/
Overpowered? Somewhat. Useless? Hardly. Incidental? Possibly.

I can see what he meant by "useless".

I remember when I first tried out the demo and I used D.T. for the first time when the game prompted me to do so.
It was short and quick. Even though it's literally the bare minimum of what you work with in terms of having a D.T. gauge.
I first activated and tried to attack the enemy in midair, however I ended up missing and it cost my entire D.T. In a sense, it felt useless because it was so short. And that's what I initially thought about it.

You know what would be interesting? If on DMD mode the devil trigger didn't send the enemies flying and the enemies could still attack you.
that would be something lol..... but still i dont see whats the prob in the DT i mean sure it sends the enemy's in the air but if you pull them down they stay down so no prob :) its easy really you want to fight on the ground you pull them down if you wanna go up you go up and slash those suckers :D

Many things hint towards Dante's DT being incomplete and upgradable. Watch the mission 9 gameplay video, you see a second one of those ornaments similar to the tattoo Dante has on his back and the demon dude says that Nephilim existed before and that unlike them Dante had to reach his full potential. Another thing worth noting is the patch of white hair Dante gains after achieving DT.

Really? It was easy for me when I learned its properties. You just have to have proper timing in using it and you'll be able to use it no problem.

I personally don't like the DT cause it seems like a dumbed down super sayian, but I appriciate it because of it's story importance, and that if Dante turned into a full demon righ taway, it would feel like a cheap way of getting him to turn demon right away.

I really hope the higher difficulties mean the enemies aren't so effected by it's power.
Like those Drekavac, they look like they can faze out of it.

That's why I said ". . . when I first tried out the demo and I used D.T. for the first time. . . "
I literally used D.T. for the first time within the game and I was upset on wasting it due to the fact the enemies just flew in the air. Now, since I understand how the combat system works, I've realized that D.T. is incredibly broken.

Just to clarify - demons can attack you in DT. If you demon pull a ravage to you while on the ground I have found that he stands there and can attack you. Also larger and more powerful enemies like the butcher and dual sworded guy probably won't be affected as much. :)

Having the ability to do a lot of damage isnt going to help much if you cant hit them so it doesnt change the anything, if you think the boss is easy the DT will make the fight end quicker and if you think the boss is hard DT will probably just heal you since you most likely wont get a hit in or at least not many.

You get more style point if you do aerial attacks to most enemies wont reach the ground if you know what you're doing and im not sure about the not affecting larger enemies since it can send Tyrants up into the air.
