Mission 1- Brother...
-Reunite with old family.
It is another snowy winter in Fortuna Castle. Its been two years since Nero defeated Sanctus and destroyed the Order. Now, he resides within the very place where his battle ended, along with his lover, Kyrie, and their daugther, Angelica. Nero has matured since his last battle, he still has similar features of his younger and even wears the same style of clothing. The only change is that he's growing a light mustache and beard. Kyrie, too, has changed, she has become much more radiant and beautiful, and now wears casual clothing rather than her former priestess clothing when she was in The Order. Their child is small and bright, looking much like her mother and sharing her father's white hair. Her clothing consists of small dresses, like any normal girl.
After Nero finished his daily chore of collecting firewood for the winter, he left inside his house, towing the wood on each shoulder. He kicked open the door and threw some of the wood into the fire. "Papa, Papa!" the small, fragile voice of his darling daughter called to him, "Papa's back."
"Hey there, Angel, were you a good girl while I was gone?" He asked as he picked up his daughter.
"Yes, Papa, I was a very, very good girl," she said excitedly.
"Good," Nero put Angelica down and looked at Kyrie, who had just stepped out of her room after folding the clothes, "Hey there, beautiful."
"I hope that you didn't get into any trouble," she said.
"Of course not," Nero assured her. Later, Angelica was playing with her father's right arm, which she adored so very much. She played with it blissfully as she imagined it as her own. Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door, "Who is it?" Nero called.
"A stranger," the person on the other side replied, "I am looking for something." Nero walked to the door and opened it to see a person in a hooded cloak as their guest, "Hello, sir, you said that you were looking for something? What exactly are you looking for?" He asked.
"A sword..." the hooded man replied.
"Sword?"
"Yes, a katana." Nero's eyes widened in shock, "Sorry, we don't have any..." he began to explain, but the person raised his hand and, suddenly, Yamato broke through the door to Nero's room and came, willingly, to his hand, "katanas here...." Nero continued.
"Thank you," the hooded man bowed solemnly, then walked to the door, but Nero grabbed him and stopped him, "Sorry," he said, "but I can't let you go with that sword."
"Don't be rash," the hoode man said, "you have a family. I don't want to curse your daughter with the death of her own father."
"That katana has too much power for anyone to control," Nero warned.
"I know, I was the original bearer of this sword," the hooded man pulled out the blade and stabbed Nero in his ashoulder, causing him to let go, "Which brings me to another matter, where did you get it?" he asked.
"A friend," Nero replied as he swung his Devil Bringer at the man, but the man disappered and reappeared behind him, "A friend, you say?" he asked, "Who might this friend be?" Nero swung at him again, and, still, missed, "Like I would tell you," he retorted. The hooded man appeared at the door, and began to exist, "Well," he began, "It was nice seeing you, my long, lost brother, but I have some other matters to attend to. I hope that we see each other again." Nero attempted to grab the man from afar, but the doors shut before he can do so.
Back at the Devil May Cry shop, Trish and Dante were playing a game of Pool, with Trish being the current winner. "You weren't very good at math, were you Dante?" she asked mockingly.
"No," Dante replied, he shot the white ball and made it collide into the other colored balls, then, finally, the 8 ball, "I was the best at math." Trish stood frozen in shock, trying to contemplate what just happened, but gave up and join Dante for some pizza. Then, the same hooded man who had attack Nero came through the door, Dante and Trish looked at the man curiously and could sense that he meant bad news, "May we help you sir?" Trish asked.
"I had heard about you guys," the hooded man answered, "I wanted to see if you were the real deal." He walked over to Dante's desk and picked it up, causing Trish to jump off and Dante to flip backwards and dodge under it. Trish tries to attack the man with a heavy, hammer kick, but he stops it easily with the hilt of his sword, then grabs her and throws out of the shop, leaving him and Dante alone. Dante pulls out Ebony and Ivory, and began firing at him. The man pulls out Yamato and spins it around blocking and deflecting the bullets. Dante disappears, then reappears next to his Sparda and begins confronting the man. The two clash with a force strong enough to blow away almost everything near them. The two slashed at each othe continuously until the hooded man's face is finally revealed. He had long, white hair that was wrapped in a ponytail, and bangs that partially covered his face. He had light brown skin and a slender build, and wore a black vest and jeans. "You've gotten better over the years, brother," the man said.
"Who are you?" Dante asked.
"Nelo Angelo."
