Devil May Cry HD/Original PS2 Game Comparisons (Tons of 'em!)

Note: The pictures AREN'T HD pictures but rather low res pictures taken from the HD trailer. The actual HD trailer looks much better.​

Yesterday, CAPCOM released a trailer for the HD collection of the first three Devil May Cry titles: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition.

Since I first though the video doesn't really show footage from the HD version, but rather from the original PS2 titles, I decided to make some comparison pics just to be sure. The result:

While the trailer didn't show exactly what the picture CAPCOM gave as before they released the trailer, there is quite of an improvement from the original PS2 title, making it most likely an actual footage from the HD collection.

I decided to make some other comparison pics, so I digged out YouTube looking for videos with the same footage from the original PS2 titles, and took some pictures comparing the HD version and the original PS2 versions.

The result: A .rar file that shows the huge change from the PS2 versions to the HD version. Check it out:

The photos taken from various videos showing footage from the original PS2 titles are named xoriginal (x=thing shown in the photo), the photos taken from the HD collection (all taken from the "Attract Mode" (the 'lil intro video running before the main menu) trailer) are named xHD (x=thing shown in the photo). I'll make those photos side-by-side photos later (like in the Phantom photo), I'm just too lazy to do it right now.

yeah it does, its such a good idea to have made that hd collection. It looks better and more appealing to the eye. I liked the world of dmc2 and im sure it will be a blast playing it in hd.

There ya go:

Amazon lists the title with a February 2012 release date. Tuesday, February 7th, to be precise. The European release date seems to be just three days later – February 10th.

Hey, did anyone notice, in the first picture (ps2) Nelo's armor glows, but in the 'HD' it doesn't...

Pre-order bonus is probably a download code >.> well, would it surprise you?
It wouldn't for me. Ultimate Marvel v Capcom 3 has a pre-order bonus of the Femme Fatale costume pack(HMV uk).
I hope I'm wrong...
