Demon Mode vs Angel Mode: Is it imbalanced? (Boss Spoilers)

Past dmc games have always had at least one broken move so you could say it's tradition. DMC1 has the grenade launcher spam trick. DMC3 has the taunt and DT flux trick. DMC4 has the real impact distortion.
But they were never as ridiculous as this. I can kill Berial in less than a minute and a half, but that's on Devil Hunter, not Dante Must Die. I really hope Ninja Theory addresses the problems soon.

you can find videos of berial being killed in less than a minute on dmd mode with triple S dude

But Distortion combined with Just Release with Gilgamesh took effort in learning the precise timing to be able to land it.
In DmC you just Demon Dodge without much effort to achieve the same effect.

Nerf Demon Dodge and Overdrive.

Something tells me I should skip on upgrading Demon Dodge once I get the game...

Yea, both of those moves along with DT probably equal MASSIVE DAMAGE. It's nice that you can respec yourself on whatever move you like outside of defaults.

I'm questioning if the style meter is REALLY broken at this point, because while it's easy to build, I have a hard time keeping it up by not getting hit. Damned Arbiter lag...

There are videos of people just spamming only real impact distortion and killing berial in under a minute.

doesn't mean its not broken and the first time i tried to do it i got it on my first try its not that hard to do

Search youtube for berial dmd instant kill.

Demon Dodge is ultimately more exploitable and deserves a good nerf. I don't think that move deserves any defending as opposed to Distorted Real Impact considering how DmC already has some brutal and easily accessible moves such as the quick Trinity Smash.

I don't know much about DMC1 so I can't confirm anything about that game.

DMC3, you spent your entire D.T. gauge and you had to regain your D.T. from doing that.
Not sure how much taunting did so I can't say if it wasn't broken or not.

And DMC4 distorted attacks aren't nearly as broken as Demon Dodge. The strongest attack in the game is a Just Charged Level 2 Distorted Straight. Even then, it was relatively difficult to pull off consistently. With Demon Dodging, you can pull it off easily since the timing isn't as strict and you have multiple moves to choose from if you want to do a lot of damage, more than a Distorted Straight (roughly half of a Boss healthbar). And with D.T. + Demon Dodging, you can do insane amounts of damage with the both combined.

Same could be said with me executing a Demon Dodge. It's easy, very safe to do, and it doesn't leave you open since if you miss the Demon Dodge, you still dodged either way.

But Distorted attacks in DMC4 are still not as broken as DmC Demon Dodge attacks. Not even close.

I'll have to agree with ChaserTech on this. Demon Dodge is too easy of a mechanic to abuse. I am personally thinking of placing a handicap on it once I get the game and play through SoS/DMD. Thankfully, upgrades can be removed.

all im trying too say is demon dodge wears off way to quickly to do anything substantial. the enemies later on barely give you time to take full advantage of it. plus you wont be calling demon dodge op when your fighting blood rages

Actually, it's quite enough time to use it without any problems.

That may be true if Demon Dodge wasn't so easy to pull off with ample practice.
