constant one liners are cheesy .

No, they are cheezy, and to a large degree it's why we love them, even the badass ones are cheezy, it's not a bad thing. It's a bad thing when they aren't doing their job and that is to make the character look bad ass, then they are bad.

Dmc1 isn't littered with "cool" catch phases as much as part 3&4. But after awhile I start to get board and its great that the combat is.amazing because I don't need the cut.scenes to play any DMC game but I can play the entire game of GoW.and still have just as much fin. Cut scenes included.
Mr random seems stuck in the 80s so it understandable how much u love one liners like kowabunga and hastala vista baby. But after I turned. 10, I started using full sentences.

A spiritual successor is something like Wasteland and Fallout, they were made at different times, different creators, and are radically different, but the core is what matters. If its made by the same person, its not really a spiritual successor. Especially considering the fact that I don't consider Bayonetta a better game than the DMC series, so it's not succeeding it in anyway. Also, a spiritual successor could also be taken in the literal spiritual form, since Wasteland was long dead by the time Fallout came out, replacing it as the top Post-Apocalyptic RPG to date.

And that's my two cents....

My friends always saying that dante is so cheesy that it's awesome.Just because they said it as cheesy it's not really a bad thing just like berto said lol

alot of people not just Kamiya work on DMC and is now with Platinum games and we have seen 1 trailer, the game is far from being done and the game look's 10x better the dmc.
Platinum games is a developer split into two teams Kamiya is director of team little angels which is the team that did Bayonetta. He is not working on Metal gear just like he had nothing to do with Vanquish (another Platinum games project.)

and sometimes change can be bad especially if it'z not needed ''COUGH'' metroid the other m ''COUGH'' and forceing thing's on people is not the best idea.

DMC3 pretty much did that, but just masked it under new gameplay and new characters.

DMC 3 is not the same as dmc, DMC 3 Dante look's the same but younger and it take's place in the same universe dmc does not and the combat was the best at the time hell each DMC combat was the best at the time.

I'm not saying "in the same universe" type, I mean the approch of DMC3 being a change of style is kind of like DmC being a larger change of style.

dmc combat look's ok but not the best and it does not take it to the next LVL like Bayonetta and the up coming Metal Gear Rising both made by the guy who made DMC.

I knid of think of DmC's gameplay like Kingdom Hearts 2; a bit more focus on aerial combos with ground combos in there as well. MGR wasn't made by Kamiya.

DMC run's 60 fps dmc run's at 30 and if u don't know the diff between 60 and 30 fps play battlefield 3 and Crysis on pc and then on 360 or ps3 more Crysis, move left 2 right and like how blurry it get's.

I know the difference. But that's still a small price to pay though. Yes, 60 FPS would have been better, but then that would mean I would still be playing the old DMC with a new Dante. What would be the point in the new look and story then? A younger Dante as a DLC? With 30FPS, the world can now move and be an enemy to Dante, something 60FPS can't handle because the enviornment can't move as fast without annoying lagging and load screens all the time.

Oh course one liners go beyond the 80's and they will continue forever, Believe it!
Even in popular media today there are celebrities using these tubular catch phases like The Rock for example(someone i think you would love to quote). But i think it gets old way too fast these days. I hope neoDante actually has some catch phases, i just don't want him always gettin ready for a party before every room he walks into. Theres a huge difference in having something cool to say and just saying cool things for no reason at all.
