J.D. Salinger, the author of The Catcher in the Rye, died recently from old age. He was 91. I'm personally really depressed. He's one of my favorite authors and Holden is my favorite fictional character across all mediums. There's been a lot of great writers dying lately including Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time) and Frank McCourt (Angela's Ashes). Please feel free to pay your respects to Mr. Salinger.
