It's like you think that because of the success of the recent Dark Knight Trilogy. Wait until Man of Steel shows up. That movie will earn ALOT of money. I'm calling it now. I can't wait to see Man of Steel and I'm not even a big Superman fan.all joking aside outside comic community Batman is the most appealing to the general audience especially outside america.

I might not be the biggest Superman but I appreciate and acknowledge what Superman represents. Superman can also be pretty badass. I don't care for him too much but, I don't hate Superman.
I don't think holding some kind of poll on this particular forum really counts for much because I just have the feeling not many people here are in the comic book scene to really even know about alot of characters. Everyone and their grandma knows who Batman and Superman is though.
There's no way you can literally chalk up DC as being bland or uninteresting. They have characters that are just as dynamic and awesome as Marvel. You must never read DC at all to make such simple summaries of it. You guys kind of imply DC doesn't even compare to Marvel. Geez. They wouldn't be the two biggest brands in the history of comics if they didn't provide stiff competition for each other. This is why the Marvel vs. DC war exist. People have very good reasons to love both.
I love the Justice League. I love The Avengers. I love the iconic DC heroes. I love Marvel heroes. They both bring in things that give you reasons to care about them. I can't side with one because I love both.

I like Nolan's first two Batman films. Rises blew. I don't care for Nolan's Batman universe though.
Just take a trip around the net. Man of Steel is hyped like a motherfucker. I can predict its performance in the box office. It's going to do extremely well as it's pretty much the most anticipated movie of the summer. If not the entire year. Trailer looks good. I better get a "Kneel before Zod" or I'm gonna have to maybe punch someone. I'm gonna try to go see Man Of Steel on opening day.
right now im leaning marvel but I grew up with both and like both universes and characters so it really comes down which characters you like, its personal preference.
they both have alot of the same problems regarding comics and are responsible for some of the issues facing comics today so neither one is truly better than the other.
