Dante's Connection to Humanity

Heelllooo all you sexy beasts let's talk in depth about Dante and what his driving force for protecting humanity is.
This is something i have come across many times whether it be in a youtube comment section or in real life this is an argument that still goes on: "Dante is half demon and half angel, so where is his connection with humanity?" I see the valid point presented by this. In the original series Dante had human blood in him and this connection allowed him to shun his demon heritage, the same heritage that brought about so much pain in his life, and side more towards his human lineage which served as an escape and reason to use his powers. This makes complete sense 100% (i have no qualms against DMC).
So now that new Dante is from both devil and angel heritage, with no human in the mix, what exactly keeps him rooted in reality and not from rampaging and killing everything he sees? Simple. Can one destroy one's own "home" even if it was filled with sadness and grief? In my honest stance i say no noe cannot destroy one's home.
Through years of living with humans and Dante is more like them as he was "raised" in this society. For example, he dresses and talks just like a human even though he isn't ; he shows that he connects with human on a certain level through his various possessions (the combichrist poster, pizza) thus, justifying his connection with humanity.
Unlike DMC Dante, who has a more tangible connection, literally his blood, this Dante has a more intangible connection, his emotions and his memories. So what do you guess think? Don't be shy gimme all your opinions and theories on this topic!

Pretty good, BUUUUUUT Dante wasn't nessesarelly raised around humans but more so tortured around demons. I'm sure he probablly was an emo when he was a kid because, let's face it, you'd be depressed everyday if demons followed you everywhere you went. Dante probably met someone who was all cocky and stuff and gave him comfort. This person probably helped him to be the cocky self he is now and now he has this new attitude.

A better theory is that he was tortured, but met someone or joined a church, who put some seal on him so that the demons couldn't get him for a while, to which he got sleep, and was free to have a life. But he still knew the demons were still there even though he couldn't see them. He knew they were there, controling his friends and his friends don't even know it. So finally Dante decides to fight the demons to protect the humans from what they can't see. Takes the seal off and fights while leaving his friends behind who gave him a better out look on his life and has given him some confidence to face his demons.

How many threads about DmC Dante and humanity are you guys going to make?

Honestly i am pretty sure Dante is playing the same role as V is in V for Vendetta.

He wants to kill the demon leader Mundus for what he had to endure (torture etc).
But at end of it he´ll be acknowledged as a hero, and he will not just go for revenge but also to save the humans. Which is why he´s working with the order.

Pretty sure this is how DmC Dante will be like. V was also totured and even experimented on.

Human pattern trap: The hardest thing to block out when your trying to be creative.

Tameem said in a interview that They Live is a favorite movie of his.
And it´s clear he also likes V for Vendetta (another good movie).
And he likes Punk movement.

And all of these have heavily influenced DmC story.

i think its more to do with how he grew up. a while back NT released a profile on Dante. he was raised in various orphanages and went to a mental ward. all the time being manipulated and tortured by demons.and he got sick of it. so he ran away, probably killing dozens of demons in the process and lives alone. but his time in torture, suffering etc gave him a sense of sympathy. he feels for the under dog. the people who cant help themselves and are stuck in an endless life of pain thanx to demons because he knows what its like. if he didnt have power hed still be under the demons control or more likely dead. which is why he works with the order, and why he is so conected to humanity, he isnt perfect nor do they try and portray it like in previous DMC games. hes just a guy who suffered a lot and has the will and the means to make sure no one else has to go through what he did ever again.

V in "V for Vendetta" experienced same things at hands of government.
The government were trying to make humans stronger or something, and V was only one who sorta became strong. The testings were done on "unwanted" people of the state.

Everyone else got killed by the needles with injections.

So on the verge V destroyed the place (a place for unwanted people of society such as homosexuals) he escaped.
And he came back to overthrow the government and kill the people behind it and the leader.

V had help from a girl named Evey (Kat), and later the inspector who was ordered to find V and arrest him realized how government had killed many people, and accepted the truth.

It will be very, very interesting for me to see how DmC story will be like.
To see how similar it is to V for Vendetta/They Live plus how it is different.

i am well aware of alan moores work and the film. after all i AM POPE OF THE NERDS. yh, but with V he was calculating and always 5 steps ahead. Dante...hes brilliant but i dont see him as a great forward thinker. so imagine the head of the order is more like V (man in the mask) while Dante is more like a natural disaster for demons. you cant stop him all you can do is get out of his way.

Didn´t say Dante was a forward thinker, just said the story of his seems very similar to V for Vendetta so far.

But perhaps both Dante and masked man who´s supposed to be Vergil was tottered. And both want revenge.
