Should there be a "Dante Will Die" mode?

After watching the Dante Must Die mode on a stream, I think it's safe to say that there should be a harder mode out there.

Dante Will Die should not just be slightly harder... it should be so hard, that it would make Dante Must Die on DMC3: SE on Turbo look like a cakewalk.

Enemies shouldn't have just more health -- they should have much more aggressive A.I.

Dante shouldn't die in one hit -- let's just have the enemies take out (much) larger chunks out of his health bar than in regular Dante Must Die mode.

The Drekavac and Dreamrunner enemies should make the player's life a living nightmare. The kind where they make the player wanting to go back to DMC3 DMD mode for a little "R and R".

Not only with more aggressive A.I. -- but with much larger health bars and with no attacks being telegraphed. Next to no recovery time for their attacks, either. The player must always be kept on their toes. This means much faster attack patterns. This holds true for all other enemies as well. Make it happen.

Last, but most certainly not least:

It should silence the critics.

(I know that they will never be silenced, because if this ever happened, they'll just claim that DmC is being cheap instead of hard. But at least now they won't say, "It's too easy," anymore) :ermm:

Edit: The same holds true for a "Vergil Will Die" mode as well, because I'm sure that it will also end up being too easy.

hmm i think DMD is just fine. if anything enemies should have turbo mode similar to how they did in Bayo on hard. if you want to play something truly difficult play Ninja Gaiden 2 on master ninja.... it is not fun. besides HaH is much more fun than DMD while giving a very good challenge.

Could it be a good idea? Yes. Would I play it? Nope, not unless I want to be really mad, the reward for beating it would need to be super awesome like something really cool
Your reward shall be: Play as Kat with her own voice of course. Costume though, not going around making spells and stuff. Unless you're into that kind of thing.

I did find it kind of amusing, actually, that some parts of Dante Must Die were easier for me than the same part in Son of Sparda. For instance, in Devil's Dalliance, when you're given 60 seconds to defeat Lilith's minions, they just give you one butcher in DMD, where you had 4 or 5 elite stygians in SoS. After you become familiar with the butcher, it's not quite as hard to finish one off- two would have made it really compelling.

I think Hell and Hell mode is the one I'm really looking forward to, honestly. Hell and Hell without any gold orbs would be a pretty neat treat. Or, like you said, every enemy is more aggressive and takes off more life, but maybe they could give you a guaranteed green orb or two if you kill the demons quickly enough. Now, that would be rewarding.

Even still, I died enough times on DMD to feel like it was insanely hard. It just didn't punish you as severely with the checkpoints, so it seemed easier. Dying is just a hiccup in this game, not a tragedy.
