Umm, I think you are mistaking Dante's shadow for Vergil. The style is called Doppelganger, and it is not Vergil, who helps you fight. But, it is your own shadow. Sweet, hey?

I believe it's called, "Battle Of The Brothers." It's a style you can only used when fighting Arkham. Thats probably why you can't DT when Vergil is fighting by your side.

Wait a minute, it isnt exactly, a style. It is only available for a short time period depending on how long it will take you to destroy Arkham. But, otherwise the shadow one is Doppelganger.
