What? No thread on what books your reading at the moment? Doesn't anyone read anymore?

Put what your reading and if you want you can also put some recommendations if you've read something that's really good.

I'm really into the Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. There's over like 17 novels to the Dark Hunter series and she went on to write some Were Hunters novels as well. I've only read a couple of the Dark Hunters and I saw the first boo to the Were Hunters at my local store. Their pretty amazing and a great read. Action and Romanic, I suggust you pick one up and read it. :)

Well I've brought two books recently. The one that I've just started is called Dark Fire by C.J. Sansom. It's the first in a series about the tales of a lawyer called Shardlake who also finds himself playing detective in some grisly murders in 16th century England.

I found out about this series by stumbling across the 4th in the series called Revelation. A very good read I found to my surprise; It's story is of Shardlake and company being dragged into the world of a religious fanatic serial killer who is driven by a scary misreading of the Book of Revelation.

*squeee-* Sorry! A book thread! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!! :D I wanted to make one...but didn't...because then I might get teased for being a total literary dork...:P

Book I'm currently reading is What Do Christians Believe? by Malcolm Guite. With some more Christian related books to follow. This was my first time actually reading about my religion - I figured, since I'm spending so much time reading the Quran, mythology, Wiccan and Islamic religions, I might as well pay some attention to my God and see what people make of mine too (in a literary sense).

Anyway, recommendations: The Night World series by L.J. Smith. It's got vampires, werewolves, reincarnation, psychics, shapeshifters, witches. It's action packed with romance via the soulmate principle. Pretty cool stuff. And since it's a series, some of the previous characters make cameo appearances (I still think that dude at the Black Iris club that chased Gillian out was Ash). Ash, by the way, is the coolest vampire I've read about (aside from Lestat). Well, him and Quinn are close, but I like bad boys so Ash wins handsdown. His sarcasm is hilarious! Anyway, I definitely recommend this series.

Wasn't there a book thread a little while ago? Well whatever, I'm reading Map of Bones by James Rollins. I've read several of his books. They're fun adventure stories I highly recommend. Ice Hunt's by far the best though.

^L.J. Smith?... did she write the Vampire Diaries. (I saw the books in a supermarket, the name rang a bell.)

Yeah. Don't judge her books by their covers though, a lot of fans wanted to burn the publishing house for going the 'Twilight' route with the covers. If they actually ended up using those covers. I can't remember now, I've still got the books with the old covers ^_^
But Night World is the easiest way to get to know how she writes her vampires, because they're all pretty much the same in abilities.

Oh, on that front:
Read The Forbidden Game trilogy (also by LJ Smith). Do it. Just DO IT. Julian is worth the read, he really really really really is. *dreamy siiiiiigh* If there ever was an awesome villain, he would be it.
...
*goes to reread the trilogy*

i am currently in the middle of two books ( one at home and one at school)

winter's heart by robert jordan ( part of the wheel of time series)- one of the best book series i have ever read.

hunt for red october by tom clancy

I read the Cirque Du Freak series. I like how it started, but when it got towards the end, I was a bit dissapointed. As for Thin Executioner, I actually never read that let alone heard of it (I think O.O) But man..... Darren Shan can write violence in a fast pace lol.
