Ireland would be cool, it is incredibly gothic and medieval here, has over 30 thousand castles, plus forts and ancient structures older than the pyramids like newgrange.

It also has the weather and look, and is like dark souls in real life. It is why the shows , vikings and game of thrones and wednesday and many more were filmed here.

im getting into Yakuza so modern day Japan would be fun.

I lean more towards RPG exploration so id prefer a setting with side content to do. A subplot to the main plot if you will.

Yakuza 4 and 5 restrict certain locations and activities to certain characters so thats a way to avoid bloat and encourage replayability.

Fortuna is a step in the right direction as it feels more of a real place than Dante's nameless city from the anime. It just needed a better plot and characters so im hoping DMC6 does a better job than the anime and 4.

The Qlipoth was part of a world wide invasion so that gives you a starting point for these new characters. Their lives were changed by the qlipoth and set on their new paths as demon hunters. They could be oppurtunistic criminals, lone hunters, government agents, friendly supernatural beings, outcasts etc.
