I always wondered what the in-story reason for Dante's DT's being different depending on the weapon might be. Too bad that didn't carry over into DMC4.

I always assumed that it was because his DMC3 DT was in a "larval stage", not very developed on it's own and susceptible to influence from outside factors, while by DMC4, Dante's grown in his personal power and his Devil form has matured into it's own, Same with DMC2.

Yeah, this. DMC1 Dante's DT also had him manifesting the nature of whatever devil arm he was using, instead of his own unique form. It's actually kind of funny how the development of Dante's DT is the most clearly chronological thing about the series. I'm sure they didn't do it on purpose, since DMC2 wasn't originally intended to be Dante at his oldest and most powerful of four games. But paired with Dante having his own DT in DMC4, it looks like Dante's maturing in order.

That would be a great motivation to beat bloody palace mode.
They said there's something special at the end of the Bloody Palace, Maybe they meant a special boss fight or something.
But It would be pretty sick if these costumes are unlockable by playing Bloody Palace :)
