Character Development?

He's not going to be exactly the same as DMC4 Dante by the end.

If he's a reboot of a character, doesn't it just make sense that he'll just be more refined and cooler?

Okay, okay...
So Dante becomes about forty years old, fights a funny looking demon that he's really never met, and then rides off into Hell on his motorcycle while listening to some country rock ala:

That should be DmC 5 or so...

IMO I think this new Dante's story is kinda similar to RE6 Jake! Both of them are at the start of their journey - young, rebellious, clueless and without a fixed goal in life. But after they travel further down the road and interact with other characters, then only they will realize their existence. Also, Dante has Kat and Jake has Sherry as travelling partner. So, I think they are the catalyst in each of the character's development!!

Oh wow, I'm not the only one who thought of this! =D I'm glad

*pulls five out from her pocket* okay but I want it back :'(

Hey, maybe Dante will pull a Jake pun and ask Vergil for 50 million  as payment for killing the demons.

LOL what I really meant was *HiFive*

Dante: So, brother since I helped you to save the world *cough* I think you haven't forgotten my reward!
Vergil: Yeah! Here take this blank paper and write as much money you want, I will give you right no- Dante, you alright, hey!
Dante: $$____$$ *passed out*

"So, they want the Demons dead, huh? Fine with Me, s'long as they pony up the dough!"

Money lust killed Dante haha. Imagine if they winded up taking that whole cabin gameplay too.

Dante: The whole city's coming down! Mundus must really hate us today!
Kat: We'll make it, just keep going! Anyway...I don't hate you!
Dante: Oh great, that helps!

Now you realize when I finally play RE6 I'm going to be secretly parodying every cutscene because of you. Thanks a lot lol

Honestly, I see no reason for them to just mirror the character development from DMC3. I mean, the way Dante acts now is almost exactly the same as in DMC3 - cocky, brash, a jokester, kind of a jerk, and has hilariously cheesy one-liners.
By the end of the game, I think this new Vergil will die and new Dante will become so distraught that he will mature from this just like at the end of DMC3.
BTW I think that if they make a sequel, Vergil will reappear as Nelo Angelo

The possibility of this happening is really high. You can add or replace Kat as the catalyst to that change, too.
