Jesus, tell me about it.

I've always loved the 13-trilogy for it's expansive world and mythology, but FFXIII-2 was a ****storm of god awful DLC. I've never been so ****ed at a game before, but the game was pretty good though. I enjoyed the game non the less, but the DLC issue they had going on there made my raise my eyebrow. I'm super excited for L returns (Like you said that game looks super dope), but I just hope that it isn't another DLC nightmare like FFXIII-2 was. Same for XV and Kingdom Hearts. But I have faith in Square, they aren't a bunch of money gobbling assmunchers like Crapcom are.

Hey being money grubbing assmunchers can produce positive or negative results such as:

Positive if you like it. Negative if you don't.

So long as they don't use this as an excuse to lock content already on the disc, or as an excuse to be lazy and add content at a later date that should have been in the game on release day, then I guess I'm okay with this. I'm not really into buying extra outfits and such anyway. Only DLC I have bought are Mass Effect Citadel, and the Vergil's Downfall which I got for free as a preorder bonus.

In my opinion DmC was one of the few stand out things that they've done recently. But releasing ST 4 for the, fifteenth time now? Nope, no excuse for that.

DmC was a disaster. Not because it's a bad game, but simply because it's so obnoxious and retarded, and not in a good, intentional way. Besides, the gameplay isn't exactly great, either. Just my opinion.

SF IV being released like three times is just ridiculous. I thought Dragon's Dogma was a surprisingly enjoyable game, though. And Street Fighter x Tekken is just fun, though I can't agree with all the DLC and the supremely retarded-looking SF characters. Still, I wouldn't feel bad if Capcom ceased to exist; opens up space for fresh talent and new companies formed by former Capcom employees.

I thought RememberMe was something interesting but it was developed Dontnod Entertainment.
Sad how something interesting with Capcom's name is developed by another company.

It's amazing how proudly Capcom has their name on the cover with no mention of Dontnod Entertainment
thats messed up.

PEOPLE, PEOPLE, PEOPLE (waves hand around dramatically)!!!!!!!!!

I found this link saying that Capcom, supposedly, has only 152 million in their bank account. I guess to some of us that's a nice amount to have, but to many, I think that's the equivalent of having 20 bucks in the bank. Considering development costs, the staff, promotional means, etc, they aren't looking so well. Regardless of how many copies their games sold, none of them brought in the money they were expecting, most notably with DmC and Resident Evil 6 with their adjusted sales units. Add that to Remember Me not leaving that big of an impression, Lost Planet 3 sales (did you guys see how much that game is suffering????), re-hashing the death out of the Street Fighter series, the Darkstalkers HD collection tanked...

Man, it seems like only the Monster Hunter series and Dragon's Dogma is keeping them afloat. And to gain more money, the solution resides.... to up..... the DLC party. Wow. Brilliant.

Names of popular series aren't going to fly off the shelves with you guys anymore. A lot of your fans (new and former) are waking up to your tactics and leaving you guys in the dust. A proper Megaman game will probable double the amount you currently have though, but I don't think you guys will listen. It'll probably make you do so now, though.

Sounds believeable. They are releasing HD version of Donal Duck games, and since alot of kids play games, a HD release should come off as a new game rather a recycled one.
So it should bring in money, which they need.

I am not afraid if capcom goes bankrupt. Infact i think...Kamiya or PG as a whole would like to buy Devil May cry from capcom if they go bankrupt. When THQ was trying to sell Darksiders , Inaba made a comment about price being lower they might buy the serie. Plus Kamiya is quite fond of devil may cry and its character, who he helped create.

I'm not one of those people who go "if capcom goes down i wont get my drug fix of a game serie".
They can go down for all i care.
They are smug peaholes who talk about dlc as if their approach to dlc is fair and right. Its not...capcom is one of the companies that are abusing dlc to leech out money.
How? Witholding content that is part of the full game, for later release for money.

Games and creativity will never die out.

Agreed. How many titles do they have on their shelves that they can blow off and make new games of them? For the longest, the fans have been damn near shouting for what they want, and Capcom keeps going left with their decisions. What...what seems to be the problem? Why are they not following the money when people are practically telling them what they want to buy?

The titles fans are asking for i believe aren't working for Capcom anymore & Capcom knows they can't continue or re-create those games without screwing it up.
So they stick to the formula they know well & slowly smurf up badly (ResidentEvil) or re-boot.
They can bring those games around again but they'll be overhauled. Onimusha, DinoCrisis, would be rebooted & probably bad.

So...what's going on with them and that whole restructuring the company and bringing new blood in? They don't have enough faith in the new talent to bring in fitting ideas to carry on their game titles collecting dust?:D Seriously though, I don't understand why the guy in charge continues to do all this DLC sh*t when their company is going kaptuz. I thought they were doing the DLC thing originally to be greedy, which I still think they are, but it seems like a way for them to stay above the water now.

I think so to.
I think Capcom is bring in new blood for new ideas because Capcom ran out lol.
I think older development teams left & Capcom doesn't have the mojo it once did.
I still think titles like DinoCrisis would've been great for some of the ideas that's made other titles gone Eww lol.
ResidentEvil6's action & co-op would've been great for DinoCrisis.
I mean DinoCrisis was an action title right ?
So that would've been great.
It's kind of like the ideas they have should go towards a different game rather than the ones they put them in. And the more I think about it, the more it seems fitting for RE 6's loose gameplay to sneak on in there with Dinocrisis (haven't played that on e in a bit). They are just a couple of dollars away from filing for bankruptcy and that'll be it. It's kind of sad to watch them go, but with the way they've just been making bad decision after bad decision, it's not really much of a surprise.

Tell me about it. Megaman Legends 3: cancelled. Megaman Online: cancelled (granted that was Japan only but still) Megaman Universe: cancelled. Maverick Hunter: cancelled AND I WAS EXCITED FOR THAT ONE cuz Retro Studios was at the helm and my f*cking god Metroid Prime was a masterpiece, why not add that appeal onto Megaman? >_<

Granted I had fun with DmC but I still don't think it was the right choice business-wise, and now that we know they basically have buggerall and a bucket of lint in their bank, they think changing their DLC practices will tide us over? Give me a megaphone so I can wake these guys up right in their earholes by saying this: "THAT'S THE SAME DAMN BUGGERING THING YOU DID THAT MADE US LOSE FAITH IN YOU." and then I'd wrap that up by giving them all a hearty smack upside the head. You have all these IPs just drifting in the eternal void that is oblivion (and not the good one that Bethesda made because I still f*cking play that cuz it's a GOOD GAME, CAPCOM) and you're not doing anything with them and it's a damn shame. Megaman, Dino Crisis, Darkstalkers, Devil May Cry, you refuse to do anything the fans want because you're not good at it anymore, but you won't admit it because you're suffering from the world's worst case of rectal cranial inversion!

*phew* And now that that's out of the way, I'll say that if Capcom goes under, I won't care. If they keep going, I won't care. The last Capcom game I bought was DmC and that was ONLY because I thought that combat would be fun (and it is) and the fact that Ninja Theory was pretty nice about DLC and gave us all Bloody Palace for free because it was meant to be in the game anyway. Capcom even wanted them to charge for it but NT said no, I respect them for that.

Anyway, rant over, I'm going to go do something productive, like my megaphone idea. Or sandpapering my body out of shame for ever supporting Capcom, I'm not sure.
